I was informed that my open letter to the devs was not aloud on the communities threads. This is in stark contradictions to their “We want this to be an open community”. To be open you must also allow for some angered responses. A games devs must listen to their players, as of late it seems they are not.

I want to know what you think of the actions Anet is taking as of late. Should they just close threads and cover up the feelings of an entire community so their feel bads don’t feel bad?

Eh, just looking at the first page of this forum, there’s plenty of threads which contain tons of critical posts.

I’m not quite sure where you got this idea that they are closing overly critical threads. They’re obviously not.

I’m pretty sure they had a good reason to close your thread though. And I’m willing to bet that your “angered response” didn’t really include anything new that hasn’t been discussed very thoroughly already by the forums.

Yeah Im pretty sure they’ve kinda noticed how annoyed people are with the new patch making life really hard for newbies.

And how their new anti bot system is more of an anti human system

Yeah, I wanted to bring to light the fact that instead of addressing our concerns they just shut down our posts, the posts that voice our questions and concerns and tell us to basically “Shut Up, we don’t care.” The response they give you when they close a thread is thought up by some lawyer somewhere and isn’t personal it makes you feel like some robot came along and B-slapped you upside the face.
