I’ve seen many threads asking for this and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dev acknowledge it as a possibility.
Here are reasons why I think it would never happen:
-The only benefit it would have is a QoL one largely for casual, non-committed players. It would be a kick to the teeth for many of the loyal, veteran players because….
-It undermines people who have spent time doing map completion on alts.
Considering map completion on alts is part of the end-game for many people, it reduces the replayability of the game
-Many would complain that they had lost out on skill points/hero points and exp if using the system
-Probably goes against A-net’s ethos. They want to persuade players to explore the map… introducing such a thing could destroy this.
-Overall, if this is going to negatively affect the longevity of the game, A-Net/NCsoft would never introduce it as it ultimately would mean losing out on potential profit.
Personally, I have done world completion on 7 characters and have around 50% on 3 others. I enjoy world completion and I spend the majority of my game time doing it. I think the game would seriously lose out if there was an “insta-world completion” button, or even just a button to obtain all waypoints.
OP: if you’re struggling to get places you need to be because you lack world completion, it doesn’t take long just to run into all the areas and grab a few waypoints in each. It will help you a lot, it doesn’t take very long and you’ll get to see some awesome things as you do it. Focus on getting one character sorted first.
