I’ve noticed that recently the ping on the map has changed, or whatever you call it when you shift + left click on the map to show a red blinking dot. I noticed that it has become smaller and less red (more pink) than usual. Not sure why Anet changed this, I prefer the old one, it is easier noticeable and larger. Any information on why they changed it?

Maybe because some people used it a lot to spam the map, they were so large that when you started to ping rapidly other people could no longer see the map.

If I remember correctly some people used this somehow to confuse players in PvP. A few times I came into a match where I could no longer see my map at all from the infinite spam of those red pings.

I wish they gave us a way to change the keybind for that option though. I don’t want it to be shift.
