Guild Wars 2

Twice now I have cleared high level maps and recieved 2 identical exotic items. In my opinion there should be ZERO chance to recieve duplicate items from a map completion or any reward in game. Is anyone else experiencing my horrible luck ? This is insane and beyond frustrateing.

Well, I just got two Unidentified Dye drops about 5 minutes apart, and they were the exact same dye. Lol. What are the odds? 1 in 402? 1 in 804? Things happen. RNG.

Oh, and of course, I had already found that dye before.

It has everything to do with RNG, which is what Iculpatus is pointing out…

Besides, I think 95% of those map completion rewards get salvaged just for the rune… so why is it that big a deal?

er… no. The chance of getting two of the same kind is going to be pretty low, but not impossible. RNG is RNG.

Would you be complaining if those two items were the same precusor?

Or at very least, with sup. runes of divinity/ sigil of bloodlust/ sigil of fire?

Gee…you did say any reward in game, and to me, dyes are a reward. =)
Sorry it wasn’t a reply up to your expectations.

They are not soulbound so you can simply sell the stuff you don’t want and use the proceeds to either buy or craft the items you do want. That’s how loot works in this game

My question is very simple, maby I worded it wrong. Are others experienceing this? Or am I alone?
