I just finished doing nothing but World Completion because the wiki and all other sources state that you gain mastery points when you finish the world on your characters.

Didn’t happen.

Now what?

Why are mastery points so ridiculously hard to track and earn?

You gain a mastery point for completing the achievement Been There, Done that.

You get one point the first time you do it. You don’t get a point if you do it again on another character.

I have to say that only getting a single point for all that work is a bit miserly!

They are easy to track just look in the Achievement tab of the Hero Panel, look for the big red dots.

You gain a mastery point for completing the achievement Been There, Done that.

From the wiki: ‘account-wide achievement for world completion may be displayed in the Hero panel with the tab Achievements > General > Hero. it is worth a total of 20 (Arenanet Points.png) Achievement Points and awards the title “Been there. Done that.”’

So “Been there. Done that.” IS Map Completion.

And as Doctor Ding stated you only get the achievement once per account so if you already did Map Completion on another character you won’t get the achieve again.

So maybe the wiki and Anet need to be more specific in the notes and the game.

Mastery points are a joke – getting them is a true problem for those who can’t possibly figure out the “menu” which is wrong so much of the time it’s nuts as well as not giving enough info to “start” whatever chain you need to get those mastery points.

Every achievement with a red star next to it awards a Tyria Mastery Point and every achievement with a green star awards a HoT mastery point. I dont see how thats so hard to understand.

They do not need to update any info. Mastery points are account wide. So you really should already know that and not expect to get them multiple times from getting world complete more than once.
