Maxed Homogenization
Numbers can prove or disprove anything.
Concurrency is misleading because everything depends on exactly what time of the day/month/year that someone sampled the numbers. Midnight PDT will be different than midnight Sydney time.
Look at it this way (simplified, I know, but good for illustration): In general, most people own a car. Also in general, most people are not in their cars. So, if 7 million people own cars, there may only be 100K of them actually in the car on the road at any given time. It doesn’t mean that those who are not in their car won’t use them today, it means that for whatever reason (i,e, work, life, sleep, school, etc) they are not actually in their car. Give them a few hours, and those who are in their cars now won’t be, and those who aren’t now will be stuck in traffic.
This is a game, people. It’s not meant to be “used” 24/7. It’s a way to relax. Some will log in for hours at a time and some will log in for a few moments. Saying that only 300K out of a million people are logged in at any given time isn’t an accurate portrayal of the actual proportion of owners to players.
