Seems part of players feel bored in Pve. I have some ideas about how GW2 can be improved. ( in principle rather than practical, I think)

1) eliminate character’s level, using gear level for classification.
2) eliminate dungeon, replaced by dynamic events chains.
3) Set up supply camp in the world map like WvWvW, to supply materials like ore and wood, with daily supply limit.
Also, can be upgrade by players or NPC. (i.e. seraph or bandit)

Your ideas are way too drastic.
Changing existing systems so much only alienates people.

The level/gear system was made to be somewhere in-between GW1 and what many MMOs do.
In GW1 the max lv is 20 and gear is really, really easy to get.
In many MMOs you have huge gear grinds at max level.
I hate this grind, as do many from GW1.

This is why GW2’s system is what it is and I like it as it is, although the downscaling system might need some work.

Also I like Dungeons more than most Dynamic Event chains.
I have no idea how people can farm Cursed Shore day in and day out.
It’s so boring to me! But hey others seem to like it.

I dunno what to even say to your third idea.
I just don’t understand what’s the point of it.

Let me add my thoughts on your thoughts.

1. If you where to remove the levels people would become even more bored. At least with the levels I have something to shoot for besides just gear.

2. Most dynamic events already suffer from there not being enough people around to trigger them. By removing dungeons and making more DEs it will only cause more and more things that just dont even start because there are just not enough people in the area. Plus if you remove the dungeons, everyone who loves them will most likely quit.

3. Why? Makes no sense. Whys does an area need this? Is it your idea that with supply camps people wouldgo to them to get those things? If so then it would be nothing but a ton of people waiting for the supplies to hit, they grasb it, fist come first serve. So you have a bas connection, well to bad not supplies for you. Not a good idea.

Also none of the 3 things you listed are the reasons I am bored with GW2 or for that matter from what I see are why most people are bored with GW2. Next time do a little more research on why people are bored before suggesting radical changes.

That would not make the game better in anyway.. if you take out the levels where is the sense of progression? even though you unlock your main offensive abilities without really needing to level you just have to keep it there just to have some kind of goal to go for. Why would you want the dungeons eliminated? Its probably the best part of the game, the de’s are nice but it really is a zerg fest. I have my suggestions that sometimes come off as sounding like complaints but aside from that the good things about the game outweigh any of the things I dont like by far. Nothing really needs to be taken out of the game, what it needs is more things added and some of the existing things tweaked a little.

It seems like quite the topic, this PvE.
- And yes, you are quite right, it gets boring. Once you are done in one zone you have no need for it any longer, and with hearts, PoI and Vistas, it seems like one long grind to get up in level.
- I don’t think the core gameplay mechanics should be totally replaced, rather they should improve the idea and make it work better and balance it out.
- Gear is getting pretty low lvl fast since there doesn’t drop all that much, and I hope they make more of it in the future. Maybe make some Dynamic Event Rewards other than the xp, karma and money reward. More designs would be nice too.
