I quit about a month after HoT release and was possibly thinking about coming back but had a few questions

1. How’s ranger/druid doing for PvE overall? Longbow a good option still? Is staff going to be good on use in events with a lot of people or is the damage not good on it at all?

2. Are the new maps still populated? Can I get into verdint brink and get the bladed chest piece easily? I tried a whole month before but never found map that was even close to completing map.

3. Was there any changes to getting elite specizalation? Was kind of a huge pain before trying to solo.

4. Lastly how’s wvw doing. Still active in the mists? Where I farmed all my points previously for elite spec

New maps are still very populated, however getting t4 bladed chest is still a nightmare. It does happen, but it requires extensive use of the taxi lfg service. This may change with the spring update.

Elite gain is the same. Hero point trains operate pretty much all the time, so getting hero points is fine in that respect.

WvW is being updated later this year. Old borderlands will come back soon, reset night has hanged back to the requested friday nights. More info in the wvw subforums can be found

You might want to wait until after next Tuesday’s update to decide, since it is expected to change up a lot of things, including making HoT less grindy / time-consuming.

1 longbow still fun, and remember: druid specializes in healing sooo technically you are not in the damage pool BUT your heals are a must, so get in there and show the healers how its done :P
