Ok, first off.. Hate the megaserver. now then, legitimate complaint time..

I’m trying to get to Balthazar to buy some obsidian shards. I was in Hoelbrak, and opened my map, scrolled down.. hey, what do you know, Balthazar is open. so I waypoint down… and suddenly, waypoint contested? turns out, the Megaserver decided that.. I didn’t want to get to the open Balthazar.. it thinks I want to farm, or whatever else. thats odd.. I go back to Hoelbrak though, and im back in the server that has the open balthazar! any Anet person wanna maybe try to explain why this is beneficial?

It’s a bug, it is supposed to ALWAYS show contested, regardless of its current status so that you have to WP twice. This was added as a “feature” to increase gold sinks.

really? awful convenient, since i;ve waypointed over before when it was open, from another map, and gotten right in. today is just one of those special days i guess

Doesn’t help that the event to unlock it still bugs out all the time as well, making it even more unlikely it will be open.
