I could not find the old thread relating to the ‘megaserver’ feedback where we could all post how we feel about the new megaserver system.
Clearly this was a clever way for a-net to cut back on hardware by combining players onto servers. Unfortunately the side-effects are now that world events are impossible to complete!
Lets take Tequatl for example. The only way to ensure you kill this boss, is to log on over an hour before the event starts and sit there camping the map! If you are disconnected or have a client crash, you will find it impossible to enter the map again because of the megaserver problem.
Today, I spent over 20minutes clicking to join my guildies in the map and eventually gave up and came here to complain about this issue.
If you’re going to remove hardware and force players onto smaller server clusters, then at least nerf the world event bosses as well so that smaller, less fortunate groups may also complete the event!
I logged on to a useless map with less than 15 players trying to kill Tequatl. The timer was at 8minutes and he was on 100% hp, they stand absolutely NO chance to complete this event. And it’s not because they’re playing incorrectly or doing anything wrong, this is purely because they’re forced onto a useless overflow map instead of being added to a real map where there are players paticipating in the event.
Personally, I think what you’ve done with the megaserver system has completely ruined the gameplay experience and made it impossible to do any kind of event. This includes world events, world bosses, guild events etc. Basically anything where you need a few people on the same map. Something needs to be done about this.
