since the launch of megaserver large / medium size guilds are shrinking.

players do not feel need for a guild since map is always full of people and events are done without guild based organization.

guild missions became hard. guild members can’t even stay on the same map.

some guilds are making super sized alliances to survive only for tequatl, karka or triple trouble organization.

Perhaps anet can come up with something that would promote guild activities such as 10-15 member party dungeons (that requires different roles in subgroups rather than 15 men stacking up their attack), or “guild dungeon unlock” that allows guild to go to a regular dungeon with 10-15 members instead of 5 parties.

It’s something to think about for guild activities between 5 party regular dungeons and world boss events.

we can also think about allowing wvw players to go with their guild rather than their server. that way guild with players from multiple servers can still go into a wvw as a team and as a guild activities.

Yeah, I hardly see how mid and low sized guilds are any of your concern there. Megaservers didn’t impact it for the least. Low/mid sized guilds = do dungeons. Do WvW. Grab your buds and have fun wherever you want even if it’s Teq.

Big mega sized guilds = whether specialized in Tequatl & the others (Teq and Karka were already easily done and Megaserver just helped, Wurm still requires much more than just getting in a server and killing it), whether they don’t care.

Like really, is it the concern of a medium sized guild to bring all of their members to a WB to complete it ? Was your guild relying on it ? How does that even have anything to do ith dungeons ?

Da hell.

Dear Santa,
For christmas I’d like to get a crossbow for my characters.
With love, a cute kitty.

my thoughts are (i just read the topic of the OP) make an option that lets other players see the info of any player they wants….for example, the server they belong to. this will solve the wvw guild problem of megaservers. simple…

not a megaserver problem, prob cause otehr more popular guilds are available
players do not feel need for a guild since map is always full of people and events are done without guild based organization.
Anet needs to make guilds more necessary and competitive, anet’s fault not megaserver
guild missions became hard. guild members can’t even stay on the same map.
wrong, guild members and party members get put in the same map, just rejoin it.
some guilds are making super sized alliances to survive only for tequatl, karka or triple trouble organization.
and your point is?
Perhaps anet can come up with something that would promote guild activities such as 10-15 member party dungeons (that requires different roles in subgroups rather than 15 men stacking up their attack), or “guild dungeon unlock” that allows guild to go to a regular dungeon with 10-15 members instead of 5 parties.
for our current dungeons we dont need so many people sorry….maybe if Anet one day decides to add temples (or w.e it would be named), where the difficulty increased and the strategy is more complex….then yea.

thats a horrible idea…..your talking about GVG not WVW. GVG would be cool, but in a different way….not like this.

well yea this is a horrible post from the OP in my opinion, bye.

I am in a medium sized guild and we are growing. We have no issues with the mega-server. It is a non-issue as far as I am concerned.

its not the mega server, what is killing the guilds could be a hand full of things. From crummy leadership to inactivity of the higher ranks. Or even some “new” members who get mad because they don’t get free things. on ESO i run a rather large guild (120 members) all are active through out the week and all it takes is a little effort to keep everything running smoothly and to keep everyone happy.

Uhm,many guilds as I observed by far are used only for the Boosts offered and guild events.Very few are dedicated guilds who do almost everything within guild.
And even more are used for Guild Vault, solo guild or with 1-2 friend for faster Influence gain.

Getting people organized for guild missions has been getting more and more difficult.

More and more people are in WvW, since that’s where the server community is now (as a result of megaservers splitting people from the same servers)

Guild Missions are more difficult to coordinate, as there are conflicts with many other guilds now on the same map. Getting everyone on the map for a single guild bounty is also much more painful.

Our guild is a community- we want to be able to hang out together. A lot of us have different interests, so we’re not all running dungeons or fractals or world bosses as a group. It would be nice to be able to hang out and chat in-game without having to jump through hoops of partying and taxi-ing.

Megaservers really hit existing communities hard, and those communities are not recovering. Moreso than ever, I find myself wanting to block inane map chat and find myself frustrated at lack of organization/cohesion in major events.
