So, I haven’t found a word about how the megaserver system will affect names, since there are bound to be several characters with the same name after the update. Are people forced to pick new names? If not, then how will it work?

Character names was never bound to only the server, so … nothing will change.

I always thought names were gamewide and not just serverwide. I mean you have always been able to change server or guest at anytime without this ever being an issue. You cannot guest to servers of another region, but you can move there, with server transfer. Dunno how many have done this, but still never heard of this being an issue.

Soooo I would not worry, I am pretty sure you are the only one the game with the exact character names that you have… if not at least the only in the region.

Only difference is more strangers will know your name.
