Megaservers flaws
You know, I rarely have this issue. When I have friends or guildies on a map, grouped or otherwise, unless it’s fricking full, I get tossed into that map. I think since mega servers have come out, I’ve only had to use the ‘join in’ option like twice. It works quite well for me.
Then again, I don’t have anyone on my block list either…
the district model just doesn’t work in this case.

The district model could work. The additional districts where created and destroyed as needed too, you could easily see that on holidays when the number of d’s for LA, Shing, and Kama varied up and down depending on the day and time. With the addition of the low pop map closing thing they implemented, they could ‘clean up’ the lower pop districts a bit more efficiently now.
It works when it comes to guildmates for me, but not friends. And then the stupid thing that i get into more often the same server as the people ive blocked than my friends is what makes it redicilous.
It has helped in one respect that it makes public events a lot more playable with more users in every map, but other then that.
Adding districts would make it much easier to exploit certain things. If they added districts, they would have to lock you to a single one with the option to change districts once every hour.
You should really change the game’s name to update wars!
I clear my block list often so I don’t have this problem!
Yep, yeah. I just had to be that guy.
Question though, where are you experiencing this? I get in with my friends all the time.
Yeah I don’t get it. I’ve rarely had a problem getting into zones with guild mates or friends, unless they’re full zones, in which case, yeah, they’re full.
APB (yes, APB!) had a district model where instances are created dynamically, and all it takes to switch from one to another is a UI window where you can choose a high or low population instance.
I wish there was one here, as the flooding of people Megaserver created impacted my game experience negatively.

Being able to see and choose from a list of open instances would be maddeningly helpful. I don’t understand why it’s not a thing.
Having some basic info about them would be good too, but hardly necessary.
