Just wondering: Why is there no melandru stuff?
We have everything – Balthazar, Lyssa, Dwayna and Grenth, but no Melandru.

It is just a question of time until you release the armor for grenth and lyssa too, so what’s the reason for dissing Melandru?

On Topic – Yeah, I am also thinking it is missing a backpiece dedicated to Melandru, and one for Kormir too. (Stop crying about her useless on gw1, she is sitting at a throne god, she deserve the attention of a god).

HoT is a good chance for a Melandru item.
Probably will be out of my price range, but eh… Best goddess is still best goddess…

Yes so she can steal my godly power and potentially my gems now all these years later. I would much rather have Abby dancing with a disco-ball as a back piece than kormir.

Hmmm, interesting, I would love to read about these, because at least for my perception it doesn’t look to much alike (Unless that super creepy face on male pelvis is somewhat melandru face. This would be terrible).

Hm, i have the daydreamer armor and it may be inspired by the melandru theme, but to be honest, it looks too artifical, melandru is more like a mother nature, gaia, a wooden vegan stripper girl or whatever. I could even imagine her appearing a bit sylvarish, but never like the daydreamer armor.
The daydreamer backpiece seems to imitate a butterfly’s wings which makes way more sense.
But even then the daydreamer set is not appropriate for a ranger – the one class connected the most to nature.

Balthazar – Warrior
Dwayna (or Kormir) – Guardian
Grenth – Necromancer
Lyssa – Mesmer
Abaddon (maybe?) – Revenant

But the Daydreamer for Ranger?
Meh.
I want a true Melandru set.

Daydreamer is not a Melandru set! The person who posted that text piece on the facebook page even corrected people multiple times in the comments >.< It’s creative writing.

What the writing means is basically: Group of humans go into the Maguuma (or wherever), see these cool things that make them think of Melandru, go back to wherever they came from and try to recreate what they saw.

Well, technically this backpack has nothing to do with either of them [Lyssa or Melandru] . The reference to Melandru is merely there to describe the men amazement at what they saw in the forest. ~SB

As I was explaining above, just because men compared what they saw to Melandru’s doing, doesn’t mean it actually was. It is a poetic comparison, not to be taken too literally ~SB

i hate kormir, she will never be a goddes in my eyes and also i blame her for disappearence og gods from tyria. think about it, when there was at least one evil god, the others felt responsible and stayed in tyria to help or to bestow their powers, now the kitten as ascended to godhood on my watch (while i was ready to make that jump to be the new evil god), gods disappeared, we made a statue for her and we never saw any god anymore…
there is no needs for gods if there is no evil

I would expect to see all god/goddess outfits eventually. Considering the trend, Grenth, Lyssa and Melandru outfits will also look like the dervish transformations in GW1.

Kormir’s outfit though… we have no idea. I don’t think there was an “Avatar of Kormir” skill in GW1. Either way, I’m sure it will feature a blindfold, so it will be ever popular if released alongside the Revenant profession.

I rushed through Nightfall a bit, so I didn’t get the full impact of the story (plus it has been a few years). I think it’s because Kormir never really felt important (or useful) until she was blinded by Abbadon.. and just because of that she became a deity whilst we did all the dirty-work. I guess it felt a bit weak, much like Trahearne?

I would really like to see an Abaddon outfit too, but I think that outfits themed around other races should also make an appearance (norn totem animals, asura college, etc).

yah i’m waiting about lyssa too. also i kind of hope that it has a slightly feminine aspect even the male version and some purple spark. lyssa will be a blast for mesmers

Everything people hate Trahearne for, Kormir was twice as guilty of.

At least Trahearne didn’t literally steal godhood from us (yes, obviously they couldn’t let your character become a god, shut up).

Gods are all jerks. Kormir just prove this point, and doing so, unveiled divinity’s shallow thruth and weakened human faith… She should be PRAISED for that.
