Is it against the “rules” to have a mesmer portal people to locations that take a while to get (I.E. jumping puzzles chests)? I almost have portal on my mesmer and kind of felt like helping those who cant do jumping puzzles.

The “issue” frequently gets raised by jealous members of other classes complaining a mesmer portaled people some-place and they always get rebuffed. So, go right ahead :p

Portal is broken??!!!!

This is why i have made a mesmer. I plan on portaling people through things that they can’t get up to. Mostly my friend who always complains when i get way ahead and they are still at the beginning. But anyone else who is there when i am i am glad to help as well. None of that charging people for it either. That’s just silly

Mesmer works the same for me so I don’t know what you’re talking about.

When it concerns JPs… ask yourself (or rather, the other guy): “If there was an ‘instawin’ button for the JP, would you use it?”

If he says yes, then you might as well let the poor sod use the portal, if you like. Make him beg though.
If he says no, then tell him to do the JP. Don’t rob him of his sense of achievement. Explain the jumps to him. Maybe give a portal if he falls off halfway, back to where he fell off (some JPs do this anyway).

I would employ also the rule, make sure they want it. Don’t tempt them with the offer.
