Mesmers instantly down you from full life to 0, how ?

Why when mesmers instantly down you from full life to 0 (over 15k damage) It shows up in combat log as PROXIMITY ANGUISH for damage around 3 – 15 damage.

Still doesn’t answer why it shows 3 damage and it is doing ~3k – 5k a hit…
