So I get why they nerfed rare drop rates from world bosses, but why increase event timers on some bosses? This IS NOT going to reduce the amount of people that show up to them. Very very counter-productive.

Well, now instead of people looking and saying, “oh the xx dragon is going to spawn in 30 mins, I’ll hang around and do that event” and having players online, it will be “oh the xx dragon event isn’t for another hour (or longer), meh, I have other things to do” logs off

Who said they would be increasing the timer?

I’m wondering what he means too. Did he misread something or is there something we should know?

He must have misread, either that or im blind. i just checked again and the only 2 things i can see related to boss encounters are:

Queensdale: Fixed a stalling bug in the event “Protect the brew shipment” that could prevent the Shadow Behemoth events from running.

Global: Increased scaling on several events to support up to 50 players.

(And both of these are much appreciated btw)

“Wayfarer Foothills: Reduced the frequency of grawl attacks on Tor’s supply tent in the Frozen Maw event chain.”

So at least the Frozen Maw chain will happen less often than it used to now.

That could just be that the waves of grawl in that event will occur less often…meaning that you’ll have more time to re-coup between waves. I could be wrong but that is how I read it. I’m under the impression that if they changed the frequency of the entire event then they would have listed it as a change to The Frozen Maw instead of just one of the quests within the chain.

This sentence is false.

I’m seeing several reports of these events just not happening, so they could just be on new timers.

Nope…maw is defiantly increased. dragon timer site went through roughly 3 cycles while i sat there before it popped. The first one i was ok with because it was fresh patch…

Someone please explain how INCREASING the respawn of an event DECREASES the amount of players present as was the “intention”.

dragon timers are also gonna be thrown because of the update so we can’t trust them right now. just gonna have to wait and see.

Maw was too frequent and too easily farmed. Decreasing the rate at which the event happens will no doubt turn away a lot of people, but I doubt this was the intent.
