Hello!

Like most other people i have a large store of milling stones in the hope they increase in price one day.

Is this likely to happen or am I wasting 22 slots and counting in my guild bank?

Cheers o7

The price will probably be stable because milling stones are mostly used for vial of flaxseed oil. Milling stones is not the limiting ingredient

I am looking at the other recipies and they tend to be account bound.

If john smith adds a recipe, he will probably make a recipe that uses tons of milling stones.

I want him to do the mystic coin thing to them, cut supply heavily and increase demand!

Or T6 Leather

milling stones are not mystic coins and hard leather.

Those two ingredients are reagents to large variety of recipes. milling stone is not.

At the moment, milling stones are too tied to flax seeds to be worth anything. john smith needs to add another recipe in order for them to be worth something. Perhaps, john smith will add an trade able sharping stone.

Heh … I actually do run out of milling stones if I ignore HoT for a while. A friend also has to buy stacks of them from time to time.

There’s zero chance milling stones are going up anytime soon.

  • A lot of people have tons of them.
  • They only have use in one important recipe.

ANet would have to introduce a bunch of long-term sinks before the value changes noticeably. For a variety of reasons, I don’t see that happening within the next 12 months.

There are better uses for your 22 slots than milling stones.
