Guild Wars 2

Hi all

First of all, I want to say that GW2 is a great game (played more than 3000 hours), but sometimes I’d like to see more GW1 features, so I came with this idea:

GW Legacy Mini extension (30-40$)
2-4 iconic GW1 weapon sets
9 GW1 armor sets (3 of each armor type)
One new specialisation for each class in relation with GW1
or a few missions in relation of GW1

What do you think of this?

I think too much gw1, we already have a few weapon sets from the first guild wars and armor sets as well. If you really want to see so much of the first game, you might as well go play it. I think it’d be better for them to focus on content related to HoT and the second expansion.
I do sympathize with making new content that refers or is related to earlier content/lore though, a lot.

There isn’t almost anything for GW1 yes a few armor sets (3 armors total thats not a lot and 1 outfit) and thats it. What i’m talking about would’nt be that hard, exclude the spec and mission, just a small fashion expansion would be cool! Instead of getting a outfit and a new glide each 2-4 weeks, they could do this small fashion extension! I’d buy it ANYTIME (also my wife) and a lot of people I know. Marketing wise, its a very good chance. Its would be kind of a fashion expansion similar to Sims.

Off the top of my head, not being a GW1 player beyond minimal exposure to get a few HoM points: Chaos Weapons, Tormented Weapons, Zodiac Weapons are all based on GW1 sets, right? Outfits wise there are Lyssa, Dwayna and Balthazar at the very least. For actual armor I think the Heritage stuff (free if you have the HoM points) and the Profane/Krytan/Primeval you likely meant by the “3 armors total”) is all there is other than the Grenth Hood, though the Selfless Potion does call back to the halo. So that’s more than 3 armors, 1 outfit, and 0 weapons as you write.

I will say that very few of the screenshots I’ve seen of GW1 weapons have made me feel I want them. That, however, is personal and subjective to my own aesthetic taste, and my guildies who used to play GW1 were so happy when they saw the Chaos set that I believe nostalgia adds interest.

Also, Raiment of the Lich comes from GW (One).

Personally, I’d throw Exemplar in there, as well.
