If I am right then there are 12 days left of the Halloween event, so in order to get this mini I would need to farm 10000 candy corn a day to get the 120 candy corn cobs needed to buy the mini.

My question therefor is, is it worth it? Has anyone got this mini and if so what does it do? Does it fly around you? Perhaps land on your shoulder? For that amount of grind id hope so. I really cant be bothered with it if all it does is slide around on the floor behind you.

It may act like the tonic. Maybe Dulfy has a video, haven’t checked.

I think it’s expected to purchase many of the Candy Corns. I know I purchased just a few, because I was impatient to finish crafting The Mad Moon.

Good luck.

So far I’ve managed to get 33 Candy Corn Cobs, both from grinding the labyrinth and candy corn bought off the trading post. I’m not sure I can get the remaining amount of cobs needed in time.

The price for this mini is beyond insanity.

Yeah I have thrown in the towel. After 2 days of on/off grind I had less than 10 cobs. Realised to finish off Id have to keep it up, sell all my assets and not enjoy the experience.

Not really much point in a reward in a game if it isnt fun to get. I hope Anet take on board that festivals are about fun, not monstrous grind, or balancing the economy. Im not sure I understand why it is our responsibility to clear the TP candy supply.

I think the mini can’t do anything, so it’s useless.

I think it’s exactly the same as the Mini Raven, but with the shadow effect.

It is insanely expensive. I wonder if they’re really expecting people to get it this year, or to keep saving up over a few years. (Although the price on many of the others has gone up since last year.)

I’ve not given up just yet, but I can imagine a lot of people wouldn’t even bother, which makes it a bit of a pointless reward in my view.

Candy Corn drops in gobs for ALL players. To offset this, they added a few items that take more Candy Corn than a single player can reasonably expect to farm.

This allows players who DON’T want those items to be able to sell their gobs of Candy Corn to the players who DO want those items creating a stable economy whereby ALL players are rewarded for their play time.

To buy all the candy needed id say that is between 900 and 1000 G or roughly £42 worth of Gems.

Either road you go down its a hell of a lot of grind in 12 days assuming you have no candy corn, little gold and no money to spend for something that appears may do very little.

If it flew around you as it it were a companion / pet toy type thingy, that would be cool to save up for but sliding along the floor as you walk around is incredibly kittene for such a massive asking price.

I guess it a case of, if you have gold to burn, cool go stabilize that economy.

You don’t have to grind it all during the 12 days.

Wont the Vendor be gone at the end of the Halloween event though? Or you mean, you can just get it next year?

Well I could be wrong. There is a vendor except he only has a few Halloween items. Looks like we may be stuck with 12 days.

Hopefully this will be available next year. That would at least give me something to work for over the year.

It will probably cost 130+ cobs next year. They made all minis a few cobs more pricy than last year. Gwynefyrrd was 110 instead of 100 for example

The prices in general for everythign you can get with candy corn need to get reduced.. the stuff you can get with the corn is one of the most ridiculous GRINDS in the whole game and that for just some minis

Either and, or change the absolute absurdingkly ridiculous exchange rate for corn cobs to require much lesser candy corn per cob to make it effectively lesser grindy to work on the required amount of cobs by farmign candy corn, because as long as this crap doesn’t get changed its far more effective to grind the gold for the cobs and to buy them from other players, that to make the cobs by yourself, which is beyond being total absurd.

its already total absurd, that players have to make such absurd grinds for some holiday items which are always every year only for a very short amount of time even receiveable, instead of giving the game some normal ways, that make it possible for the player to earn these items within the limited time of the holiday event, if they go for them in that time.

But unless you are super rich in the game, or you wave your credit card out like being insane to do this just for a single item that should be earnable normally as a holiday reward, theres no way to get these things – which is kind of SAD, that devs like those of anet make content, which is just absurdingly unobtainable for like 99% of their community.

This is something that needs to change in this game. This stupid mentality of adding super ultra rare and unobtainable things for holiday events that are literally made only for super rich players – be it digitally or also for real life for people, which have too much money and don’t know where to put it and put it then into digital gold just to reduce for themself the absurd grind of not havign to farm thousands over thousands of gold that it would require to buy all the needed items to get a wanted ingame item just in time, before the holiday event is over.

Such called “cash grab items” are imo just disgusting and are a big sign of bad game design, or how needy anet must be to get our money, that they don’t hesitate to add to the game such super grind items.

Sure, its as usual just visual optional fluff, but visual fluff, that shouldn’t be obtainable by likely only 1% of the whole game community just in time.
It would be more ok, if say most active players can just earn it within 1-2 starts, because even just needing a second start just means, that you would have to wait around 2 years to complete the task, what is more than enough time just for some holiday visual fluff items in my opinion.

An very active player should be able to earn those things within the few weeks that halloween is there. Casual players should be able to do it with 2 starts, maximum 3 when being very casual. Everything else is absurd.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

I suppose it depends on what you want. Personally it isn’t worth it to me. I would much rather buy the 20 slot bags. But that is me.

I have a friend who is a mini fanatic and that person is grinding as hard as possible to get the raven. Again, it just depends on how important it is to you. Good luck!!

If I were running the show, I’d cut the price down to, like, 60 corncobs, then stretch it with Gibbering Skulls x 20, Tyria’s Best Nougat Center x 20, and High-quality Plastic Fangs x 20. Make it a sink for candy corn AND the otherwise useless ingredients.

I’d personally keep the quantities the same but make those other items exchangeable for cobs.

This item reminds me of farming Nightfury skin or Winters Presence Skin.

I think ArenaNet created events somewhat too expensive since HoT release, requiring to do the exact same things over and over again, repetitively, just to get a virtual item in a database. I can never do that. It may help their economy, but it destroys the fun of casual players, like me.

I wish a lot of fun to all people with big hearts to actually love this game so much.
