Does anyone else think that one of the sound-bites from the Wintersday “Mini Princess Doll” miniature bears a striking resemblance to the iconic Star Trek (original series) “fight music”? Much higher key, obviously, and cut very short, but…

The fragment I’m reminded of is about the first 7 notes of the main refrain – the rising sequence ending on three stressed high(er) notes – and can first be heard at about 12 seconds in. Apparently the music is technically “The Ritual/Ancient Battle/Second Kroykah,” composed by Gerald Fried for the episode, “Amok Time.”
(OK, it could be coincidence – but I hope I’m right, and it’s deliberate; if so, it’s a nice touch. Either way, it certainly makes me smile every time I hear it.)
