I’ve read the information on the new way mini’s will be stored in the Sept 9 patch. I’m confused about what happens to multiple mini’s. Will I lose and duplicate mini’s when I unlock them? I often sell duplicate mini’s stored in my bank. Do I lose these mini’s? And, when I buy mini-pets from Anet, what happens to duplicates? Can I still sell them on BLT? Are mini’s disappearing from BLT “for sell” section?

Sounds like they are in your collections tab until you removed them and do something with them.

“Any minis currently in your bank or bank collection tab will still be in your bank when you log in. You’ll need to take them out individually and choose whether to unlock them for your account or dispose of them some other way. In order to make this easier, all minis of the same type now stack in inventory.”

If you have a personal guild with a bank you can always stick them in there until you know for sure.

I doubt mini pets are being removed from trading in the trading post. They have their series 3 available still which gives you 3 random minis from the series, and series 1 and 2 were available during the 2 year anniversary sale in the gem shop (possibly to increase supply before the changes happen).

It’s possible they may still come out with a series 4 mini pack which means players will end up with multiples of the minis. I don’t think Anet is going to make it so the supply eventually dries up and players can never trade minis again.

Mini pet trading has been very popular since GW1 and if Anet took that away it would really upset players.

There have been other threads about the changes to minis in the feature pack, but so far I haven’t seen any of these concerns addressed by Anet staff.

What I’m wondering about is that the blog said “You’ll need to take them out individually” when talking about the bank collections. Does this mean players who have a whole stack of a single mini won’t be able to remove the whole stack at once, or will they be forced to remove them all 1 at a time?

I actually saw someone in Lion’s Arch not too long ago link a whole stack of 250 Mini Queen Jennah’s. Not sure how that happened, unless you can have 250 characters slots on a single account. LoL

There’s something charming about rangers.

I doubt someone actually had 250 Jennas. The max number of character slots is, I think 64. I’ve seen people put 250 of one legendary weapon in chat. It’s related to that I’m sure.

I’ve asked this before…maybe I missed the answer.

What is meant by "…In order to make this easier, all minis of the same type now stack in inventory.”? As far as I know, Mini-pets of the same type already stack. In inventory, or bank. This is confusing to me.

They all don’t. I checked with my HoM minis and my Jenna minis. If you have multiples they don’t stack in your inventory. Each one of them takes an inventory slot.

Oh! Do they! Ok. I guess I didn’t notice those. Priests do. I thought Jennas did, but if you say no, then it must be so!

Thanks for the info.
