First of all sorry if what I will said already has been suggested (I guess, the community is too big and good). Sorry as well for my English and for few of the suggestions, there is nothing revolucionary, going down are more interestest things in my opinion that the first ones.

General/Features

Optional: show your friends in the map with X color (if you both are in the same one). Friends, not followers or people you follow. Mutual.
Optional: hide.
Optional: selective. It doesn’t show all your friends, only the one you want to, right click and pressing a option there.

  • Note: only with players that has been added mutually, and both with their option to each other on. With invisible status it will be off.
    Pros: sociability/interaction.
  • Conts:
Off by default, as has been.

Option to show the arrow of the mouse even when you are rotating the camera.

  • Pros: perspective. It will help with few abilities where you have to select an area for use them, you can loss perspective with many movement.
  • Conts:
Off by default, as has been.

Optional: when someone goes down/died and other player sees it on minimap, option to click on it and interact “I’m on my way!”, the other player will understand someone is going to help him, he may don’t need to teleport. This player (the player died) will be notified with a message “Someone is coming to you”, he will be able to see the icon of the player that has interacted with him in order to see his way and prevent wait for nothing (a troll due bad use of the fuction).

  • Pros: interaction.
  • Conts: can bother in groups as same way helpful.
    By default up to you.

In groups, close to where you can see the face of your teammates implement an option like it went in Guild Wars 1 for show to the rest that you are ready.

  • Pros: help people that don’t talk or don’t understand other languages.
  • Conts: less useful, due this is very “intuitive” by itself.

Show FPS and latency somewhere in the screen (a corner?) like Guild Wars 1, instead only in options, which too can help people found their best server or if some specific area has problems, too heplful in case any server has any day an enrouting problem with any ISP. By default on.

  • Pros: for persons with connectivity problems. FPS only for “knowledge” and in case some area is not optimized be able to report more properly.
  • Conts:
    By default on.

Show latency of every server in the server list (help with the previous thing), not only their poblation.

  • Pros: better online experience if connectivity issues arrive.
  • Conts:

When a chest appears (boss, dungeon, whatever), an arrow/text targeting the chest for help new players. Enable to turn on/off.
By default on in order to help new players.

  • Pros: there are players (newbies) that accidentaly don’t notice about chest (maybe because the amout of people, lack of experience yet in the game, people running like Usain Bolt, whatever) that a chest appeared, or even “experience players” that are doing dungeons or fractals for first time (that mega window that pop up in fractals).
  • Conts:

Optional: add a cooldown minute without be able to press ready after finish the final boss of a fractal for example until all players got the chest.

  • Pros: the player got his reward for sure, helpful for new people.
  • Conts: waiting, troll. For that the minute of cooldown, anyway the player can always leave before the minute, leaving group, etc (if doesn’t want to wait).

Be able to see the bar of health of your teammates (groups, fractals, dungeons, etc) without select them, without target, without put the mouse over them, without look in the party area (top left corner), be able too to choice when this can be showed, customizable by the players moving a bar or adding a percent (I want to see the bar when they 75% or below, 25%, always, never).

  • Pros: comfortable, perception, better for use abilities close to X member (maybe in order to heal him).
  • Conts: less “skill” is needed by the player?
    By default on?

Achievements

Achievement: something that needs time and dedication, that shows all the events of X map or amplifies the area you can see them. For be able to that, you need to complete all the possible events of every Tyria/HoT map once or x3 (up to you), adding a tittle “Tyria/HoT events’ dominator”, a reward (up to you). If you do both areas other reward and other tittle like “World events’ dominator”.

  • Pros: more info for the player for do events, more tasks.
  • Conts: this can brings problems/polemic, since it “removes” the exploration and maybe part of the “essency” of the game.

Events

Increase bonus in preevents (bosses, before open a specific area, etc), they are the base of all, will make players be more helpful with them instead wait in the boss area. We should don’t forget the bases.

  • Pros: cooperation.
  • Conts:

Inventory

In the inventory be able to select X items/materials/etc, that when you right click on any of them you have the option for “Assign for sell or assign for automatic sell”, in the inventory itself add an option for a button for click on it and sell all what you have selected directly (something like the option merchants got for junk/scrap).
Will be interesting add this to materials, for be deposit in the bank directly instead right click when them aren’t full adding an additional button.

  • Will try to explain myself better with this: for example I have X kind of wood, of iron, whatever, I assign all the items I want with that new option and they are now selected forever for that until the player remove that option rightclicking again (if he hasn’t the item, when he got it again he will be able to). With this new option you can “instant” sell immediately without access to the TP itself (I think the system can do it by itself without popup the window, selling it progressively in case worried about “spam”, a cooldown always can be apply for that). Can be helpful if the items assigned got a different color in their edge/border than the items that aren’t.
  • Pros: comfortable. Very helpful if you are during a dungeon, doing a lot of events without stop and you need space in your inventory, right click and fixed. <- Important: the player always has to click manually to “Sell items to TP Conts:this is the new button in theory”, automatic sell itself without interaction of the player can/will be problematic.
  • Conts: this can change the market maybe since sell to TP will be “immediately sell”, or not… I don’t control that stuff.
  • Notes: this can be apply and development a lot more, but I think will be better only apply this way (for example not to weapons, armors, accesories, etc, can looks like a good choice but isn’t in my opinion, every of them got runes, sigils, skins that the player maybe wants, it can be selective with rarity too but the best is wait for players feedback, and then move foward).
Maybe you will be interested in add this as a mastery, like the one of autoloot (after that one). In that case more mastery points need to be added I guess.

Others

Daily reward helping players in personal history (low reward, because can be explotaible, but, something enought for say "Mmh, okay, I will help).

  • Pros: interaction, cooperation.
  • Conts: exploitable?

Fractals (need design and months)

  • Fractal like… few Norn’s events, where you fight against enemies in an arena, you going foward against differents enemies in differents arenas.
  • Fractal where players appear divided since the start (1 & 1, 2 & 2), the third or fifth player should choice where he wants to go using a portal, more forward them all will be together (final boss, or in middle of the way, up to you), but until then they have to help the other group interacting between them using objects or defeating enemies, unlocking ways for each other, etc.
  • Pros: more content, cooperation/interaction, something different.
  • Conts:

Apologies for my English… I tried my best in order to help to make the game even better, to make the thread understandable and easy to read but it is difficult to me.

Feel free to comment, to add pros or conts, whatever needed if it helps the game and our game experience. Thanks in advance and sorry.

I think those are all good ideas, especially the one where you announce that you’re on your way to a downed player. It’s sometimes too late when you see “A noble soul is reviving you!” on your map.

To add to this, maybe add ’shoutout’s like in Monster Hunter? Customize-able text strings that you push a button and they appear in chat. You can get around spam by adding a cooldown (maybe 5-10 seconds). It would make it much easier to know when other players in your party are about to pop boons/cleanses/etc..

Hello MrWubzy.3587! Thanks for your time and your answer.
What are you suggesting could be a good idea (quick chat), in addition to prevent any spam by that, it would be better if that can only be used in groups/squads.
NumPad hasn’t currently use in the game unless a player customize it (maybe for this is a good idea).

It can be a text or it can be a “Shout” as you suggest, in this last option could be good to consider if be able to do it in any action (groups/squads) or only in combat. It can help in many ways, in fact, those text/shouts can be customizables or only be able to use the one the game force to, in order to prevent any kind of spam if it is text (about websites, etc).

Thanks!

option to turn off TOOLTIPS that cover half your screen!

Hello wrathmagik.3518! Thanks for your answer and your time as well.
Yes, that is other suggestion that could be good. Guild Wars 1 got a option for “summary” the descriptions, not to hide however.
Anyway, I think both options can be added.

For example: when you select an ability, instead show all what it does and every icon vertically, show only the icons in horizontal (like when you have buff, conditions, etc in your character) with the seconds between (s), the damage if they want… etc. It will be a lot more comfortable in that way and will cover a lot less, it is only helpful.

Thanks!

Achievements

  • Posibility to add a custom name to the achievements you have in your “Watch list”.
  • Pros: customization (“easy” to know what every achievement needs/does adding custom name/description).
  • Conts: useless?
  • In the HUD, achievements in the top right corner, when you click on it, it hides/shows, ok, when you click in the icon with the symbol of Arena Net, it does nothing, maybe add a shortcut to send to you to the watch list.
  • Pros: comfortable, faster.
  • Conts:

Fractals

  • Posibility to see the agony resistance of your teammates in the instance pre-fractal and in fractals, that can be added in the area of the party (top left corner, where the level is showed) and when you select your teammates as well.
  • Pros: info.
  • Conts:

Language

  • Option turn on/off in order to change language everytime you click right control but permanently.
  • Pros: comfortable.
  • Conts:
  • Note: with this, you will be able to use TP, achievements, bank, etc without holding right control and without need to change the language directly in options, it is just a shortcut.

Items/Wiki

  • Add wiki to every item, right clicking on them has the choice to send you to his wikipage.
  • Pros: comfortable, helpful for new players.
  • Conts: useless? Too many options with right click?

Build saving

  • Posibility to save and share builds in-game. In order to prevent any spam (as you can write a Youtube or random link on it as in Guild Wars 1), these builds when are shared in-game to a third person will be showed with the name of the character that is sending it, like “Eir build”, the person that receive it however is able to save it with a custom name that only can be seen locally.
  • Pros: very helpful, comfortable. Interaction.
  • Conts:
  • Note: I saw this has been one of the most popular demands by the community, is the fear is the spam, with that it can be totally canceled.

Skill recharge/change

  • When a skill is during a cooldown and you want to change that one by other, when you select it, it will be change automatically after that cooldown finished unless you are in combat.
  • Pros: comfortable.
  • Conts: less “skill” needed by the player? Useless?
  • Note: good if you forgot.
