Minis and stealth
Oh my, the number of thieves I have murdered because I chased their mini down. I thought this was a feature, not a bug.
I’d like to propose a different feature: let us park our minis where we choose. Let us tell them to sit and stay. Then when people see your chickenado they’ll ask themselves… is that thief standing beside that mini.. —OR IS HE RIGHT BEHIND ME?!?!?!
They already have a feature for you to stealth your mini.
Open the miniature tab and disable it.
I generally use my mini on purpose because of that. Nice way to lure people into tarps when they think you’re unaware. Surprised you’re able to keep remembering to toggle it back on though ever since HoT broke them forever.

That’s really missing the point. And so bluntly, I’m wondering if you meant it intentionally as some kind of humour. Are you suggesting that he runs around with his mini and every time he wants to stealth he should open the menu and toggle that option?

It’s a bug they’re looking into, so presumably not broken forever.
Time for me to go home. I’ll be monitoring this thread again tomorrow, so feel free to post anything you feel should be on this list but isn’t. Reports I plan to look into tomorrow (in addition to the usual checks mentioned above):
Dungeon/Fractal bugs
Hearts & Minds
The Great Oouo Event Chain
Juggernaut effects for scrapper
Tribal armor
Line of Sight issues (Blaze Breaker and potentially others)
Hunter’s Ward not showing up for enemy players
Mini display being turned off
ANet may give it to you.

What i’m saying here is, if you don’t want people tracking your mini’s don’t use a mini.
The checkbox is best MVP.

Understood, as a workaround for the current bug.
Play a toon that doesn’t require stealth to rek someone and then you won’t have to worry about your mini.
Back in the day, there was a bug with group stealth where ranger pets didn’t receive stealth. That was a quality of life bug, because pets actually fight and can be attacked, minis do not and shouldn’t be stealthed.
[HaHa] Hazardous Hallucination
Listen guys, I’m just asking for this as like a convenience/quality of life thing. I like my minis, and I want to be able to run around in WvW with them and have people admire them and what not; I think minis are fun. And I play almost all the classes and a lot of em have stealth stuffz. And I just want to be able to play stealthy classes but also be able to show off my mini. And even if I don’t play a stealthy class, you know, I run with zergs w/ chronos w/ veils and stuffz, so cmd’s don’t want you to have your minis on. I don’t want to only be able to use my mini when I’m in PvE, b/c, well, I don’t really even PvE that much.
We know why you’re asking for it, but you need to remember that in the current state allowing them to stealth would remove 1 stealthed ally per the stealthed minipet (yay ?). Additionally for some reason mini’s count toward population and get hidden any time there’s more than 60 people in the same area anyway. So it wont even make a dent in the zergging side of things.
All it really does is help the solo roamer, who can actually help themselves already without hampering the game by using the check box.
