Do you think minis should get a fixed 1% karma/xp/mf/health regen/crafting bonus/etc? (best if there are a mixed combination so all minis are unique). That way your minis are relevant and not collecting dust in your bank.

Um. No.

When you win a trophy for something, does that make you automatically better at something else? Of course not. Minis are collectibles. You don’t get more power because your Terracota cups are being used instead of your China Cups. And not everyone is going to have the same minis at all times. Also, people who don’t care about their Minis won’t be able to benefit from it.

I would however like to see Mini-Interactions, like For example, A mini Logan threatening a Mini Watchknight, or something like that.

I ? Karkas.

No I think minis are fine as they are. Not everything needs to be about improving your stats.

I also think miniatures are fine where they are, they’re collectable pets. It would be nice if we were given a check-list of items we would and would not want to be deposited into our account vaults when we use the “deposit all collectables” option in our inventories, that way materials can be deposited and minipets stay in our inventory. Spending the coin on a 20 slot invisible bag.. I don’t need 20 invisible slots lol I just need 1 for a mini, but other than that there’s nothing wrong with minipets.

Giving miniatures different bonuses is a bad idea, imagine all the people complaining that their exotic-rarity minipets are just as effective as fine/masterwork-rarity minipets.

Mini do have a bonus. They cure the ‘forever alone’ condition.

I use my mini’s because I like them.
If they and a stat boost or whatever, everyone and his mum will be running around with a mini.
Some things can just be about fun and cosmetics :p

Why does everything to your generation -sorry for the assumption, but I’m pegging you into the Instant Gratification (IG) Generation- need to have some reward to make it purposeful to you (generalized “you”)?

Mini pets are fine as they are right now: visual pets that follow the player around.

The only issue I personally have with them is that bug that makes them follow 50yrs behind the player instead of near like they should. That’s a low priority issue to the developers compared to other things in the game, so I respect that it’s taken a while to get fixed.

While that insult is making me raise my left eyebrow and considering the report button, I’ll just state that majority of the population does not care about the minis, otherwise you would see them using it at every turn.

There is no sense of attachment to the pets. Zero. None. They won’t show you affection or form a bond with you, other than showing some prefixed animation if they have any. That is why I wanted something that brings out some form of value to you. Mini Evon Gnashblade can get you x% of MF and gold find, Mini Ellen can give you x% of XP and karma gain, etc. This is what I’m thinking.

While I’m trying to put in some usefulness to the minis, the general assumption from the replies is that minis = trophies and should not be anything else.

No, mini’s just need to be fixed so they aren’t a PITA to use….

They’re completely worthless collectibles for collector addicts otherwise.

The non combat + would be ok and fun! It would be like ff11 where you had a chef hat on to make your cooking skills higher. Image a mini with a full chef set on them for your cooking skill such as more likely to crit cooking crafts.
