Guild Wars 2

First off, everything looks really amazing and I can’t wait for the Xpac!

But!

But, I have on minor concern about HoT: Is it upgrading GW2’s main engine? Because everything shown in the trailers looks upgraded and beyond what the basic game can pump out. (As stated by WoodenPotatoes and MattVisual)

Does this mean we’ll need a 2014/2015 Gaming PC to run HoT? I seriously hope not as one of the selling points for GW2 was lesser focus on high-end PC’s so more general people could play it. I wouldn’t blame Anet if they suddenly decided to update the game with bigger and better computer specs in mind, though I’d like to know if I should start saving for something more up-to-date or not before HoT hits the shelves.

Even if the expansion is bringing updates to the engine, I think they would be minor.

I doubt it will require an update to your computer, unless you’re barely able to run GW2 as it is. All the expansions/campaigns in the past came with some visual upgrades like better shaders and textures, but I didn’t have to update my computer to play GWEN.
