Mirror mirror on the wall...
But heres the deal:
FOTM just matters in Spvp/WvW, for the nature of competitiviness, aka “that guy totally killed me because his class is op”. That does not make much sense in the cooperative nature of pve, add a plus that gw2 PVE can be completed in any class as long u master the mechanics.
That said… a good chrono is surely very apreciated in RAIDS, since very few players have the patience/competence to master this class.
I only know FOTM as fractal of the mists. What’s the FOTM you’re using?

Flavour Of The Month
a term that has come up to describe the new trend of starting a new character to play the latest over powered class due to expansions or improvements to that class from the latest patches
Ah right. Know the term, never seen it shortened before.
Cheers!
Warrior + Necromancer is the flavor of the month (and beyond).

Ranger with tank pet (aka: Bearbow).
Necromancer with minions (aka: Minion Master).
I would also like to mention Engineer with turrets. They’re not as strong as the other two, but in many defensive events, you can drop a turret or two in one area, then move to another and help defend both points.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
