Q:

Yes as in the title topic, and in which way, in the Black Lion Trading Company of course, in general I am referring to the Dye sets that they sell. for instance “Mad King Dye Kit” you think you would be selling those dyes right!, Wrong, upon reading the description you have a chance to get them, but your advertising the actual colors, and your wanting actual gems not in game money, so when I purchase the dyes, I expect to get them, not get a green or orange that i all ready have, we are spending actual money for them….so when you go to the store and it says cup cakes on the package I don’t want to open it up to find rice instead.

Thanks

All of the RNG dyes have been like that. A chance for the special ones, or a regular one that matches the color theme.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

It isn’t exactly false advertising when they tell you there is a chance at a new one and its not guaranteed. RNG sucks, but they tell you its RNG.

It’d only be false advertising if they didn’t give you a heads up about it being a random chance. It tells you there’s only a chance to get them before you purchase, AND you CAN use in game money to buy gems to buy them, if you don’t want to buy them out right from others who’ve put those colors up for sale.

I agree with both this and the OP. All of the previous dyes have been like this. It does clearly state this in the description of the item you are buying so if you didn’t read the description when you bought it then that is on you.

That said, they should give at one of the new dyes if you are going to buy them with gems. This is why I don’t buy them because I don’t want to pay that kind of money on a dye I already have and that sells for 90c.

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

The dyes are a ripoff.

Just get them off the TP.

RNG-style purchases stink. But, its not false advertising if they say that there’s a chance of acquisition.

I pretty much agree, TBH.

Not sure that it’s false advertising, as such, but still.

I don’t like the idea of gambling, especially with what might have originally been real money, in games.

Especially, as it could be a kid gambling…

Seems wrong.

Its not false advertising. It is a poor concept and a rip off though.

It’s not false advertising. It was clearly advertised as exactly what you got.

Don’t pay to gamble if you can’t afford to lose.

If enough people stop buying ridiculous RMT gamble things, they’ll stop making them.

Good luck with that.

They do <3 <3 <3 <3 their RNG gem store items. Either don’t buy or be prepared to buy but don’t get.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.
