So both times I’ve attempted this one-time ancient Karka event I’ve been kicked either due to apparent server overload or in the last case a new build. Is there going to be some form of compensation for people who didn’t even get to finish the final event in the chain? I hear about people getting MULTIPLE precursors from this last chest and it seems incredibly unfair that I’d be denied a chance to finish this event twice.

The event was running on the Overflows due to a bug. The patch took care of that. ANet already stated that those who got disconnected from the event or didn’t get a chance would be able to get it later on.

This is not a joke. I’m from australia. Missed out the event in the morning. Fortunately someone was still doing it in the overflow so I went there, spend an hour or two, killing karka reinforcement and having fun…

Just before we can proceed to the second phase, some yellow words appeared on my screen. “new build avalible….”

Was fun though. The event I mean.
I hope Anet would somehow compensate us about this.

The patch didn’t take care of anything. If you haven’t noticed, they said so on the frontpage that it’s just routine maintenance. If it’s a bug then Anet didn’t actually fix anything other than forcing everyone to log out of Overflow.

In that sense then yea the patch did take care of that, but its not really a patch; it’s a maintenance.

Routine maintenance can impose a lot.

Logically I thought they fixed it and I spent a couple minutes bouncing around and couldn’t find an overflow with it running so I figured it would have fixed it, but it turns out that it is still going on some overflows.

soo when they gona set the ancient karka again for those that didnt get a chance? im one of those that didnt get a chance

Im someone that did get a chance to complete the quest but would relish the chance of doing it again. I dont require any loot/final chest, just would like to do it for the fun of it.

Any chance they could run the event again though? I think its more likely that they’ll look at those that DC’d and place a chest somewhere in the world that only they can loot.
