What’s the point in buying pof with gems, if gems do not arrive?!? I’m missing everything and why you need 3 days to deliver? I bought, I have..

I will never trust you again.

/facepalm

MMORPG’s are not easy, you’re just too PRO!!!

A 72 hour delay on delivery of the gems was stated up front.

The reason is to avoid scams that were, apparently, fairly common in the past.

You purchased, and having read the disclaimer stating Gems arrive in 72 hours, and you mistrust the disclaimer, and thus, ArenaNet?

Good news! If you politely contact the CS Team, they may be able to assist you with missed Gem Store offerings.

Good luck.

Blame the people who buy accounts with stolen credit card information. They deceitfully buy items then reverse charges to get money from the games. The 3 days is used to avoid the chargeback from these people. It’s a giant scam and companies lose big bucks in fake refunds and fines from their credit insurance companies

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

I hadn’t bought gems in ages and was surprised about the 72-hour condition, yet I understand it and agreed to it. If I miss a sale then it’s a cautionary tale that I might want to keep some gems on hand for future sales.

The 72 hours limit is only when they offer it in bundles with the game.. If you buy them direct from the gem store you get them within 1 minute. Same as if you buy a card from a store and use the code.

Come on! There was written “max 3 days delay”, and I expected was for scam, but I’m using the same card/paypal from 2011 on this account!!!!!

EDIT: “may take up”. In my head may = not so problable, but could happen

The game itself has no way of knowing that you’re using the same credit card, considering Anet doesn’t process those transactions directly. The easiest way for them to program this without spending ages on it, is to simply make it a blanket approach. You can still buy gems if something is on sale that you absolutely have to have.

But the security measure is a smart move on their part.

My only problem with your statement above is the fact that I don’t have money to splurge around and buy new gems with, just because something is on sale right now. I am waiting on my PoF gems as well and have seen things go on sale that I want, and vanish from sale as I waited. I’m not against the 72 hour delay, I totally understand, but it does make me extremely sour. I had to save up to buy the expention, and now I’m missing out again because of the delay. I’ll state again, I understand the 72 hour delay, but it is kind of bugging me that I’m missing out on sales just because I didn’t have the money ready on the day they announced PoF.

You could have bought the standard edition, and 4000 gems – for the same price, without having to wait for your gems.

considering his statement about “not having money to splurge around”, why would he buy the standard edition + 4000gems if he can getsome neat extras “for free” by buying the ultimate edition?
