I have this slyvari ranger that I haven’t used in a really long time, I decided to play again today but when I logged in as him I was naked. In the preview screen it showed the armor I has but when I was logged in I was wearing nothing. My weapons are still there. I tried logged out and back in but this time the preview screen also showed no armor. It wasn’t in my inventory either and I definitely didn’t sold the armor last time I was playing it

When you wake up from the Sylvari intro story (the dream) you are spawned at the beginning of Caledon Forest without any armour. If my memory serves me right, you just have to walk forward (past an NPC) and all of your armour will appear. It makes sense when you think about it, new born sylvari shouldn’t be wearing clothes when they first appear!

Or is it because of the new story system that I need to redo my story all over again?

Possibly you sold the armor and forgot, maybe because you were planning to upgrade him to better gear, but stopped halfway and never got back to it.

If you could take a screen shot of your story log (in the Hero Panel) and post it here, that would be helpful.

If you haven’t completed the level 10 story, it’s likely you’ll have to redo the early story, since you were in the middle of an arc.

It’s also possible you were wearing town clothes and have that checked off, even though you have no town clothes on your character. Look at the check box and make sure you’re not wearing an empty box of town clothes.

It sadly doesn’t do that anymore. We are born with our armor now. Being born without clothes is too confusing for the audience arenanet is trying to attract.
