Uh.. It was already inaccessible until 30.

In Anet’s defence, the skill was promoted as using the Mistfire Wolf as an Elite, not at level 30.

Do you realize that if you can use the elite early in the game the game would be pay to win and people would go nuts, absolutely nuts.

Even before launch there were people complaining about the possibility of it.

It’s been changed to level 40 now I think. I remember a friend mentioning they had it slotted in their elite skill but when they changed it they weren’t able to switch back after the patch.

Does seem kind of a lame move considering it was a promo feature on the collector’s edition but I bought the heroic so I don’t have to worry about it

My mistfire wolf skill is working fine on my ranger that just hit 40 and unlocked elites o.o

The idea is that today it takes about as much time to level to 40 as it used to take to level to 30. So looking at an artificial level can deceive you, if you unlock at at the same number of hours of play.
