Why does Mjolnir no longer have light effect?
Compared to Jormag’s breath there is no light effect like before or am I missing something?

Mjolnir never had the illuminating effect..

It’s not really a surprise. Jormag’s Breath’s flame is also a weak flame—meaning that if you carry a torch or another fiery sword, their “light” will overcome the blue one. It also doesn’t kill the enemies with the “fire animations” like the fiery sword.

Move on. This “issue” will never be “fixed” as Anet’s priority is to create more “normies”.

I swear it had that effect, I remember playing CoF or some other dark dungeon when walking near walls it use to have light effect while running.

Found a few HD youtube videos from 2013, there is no illuminating effect in them at all. Mandela Effect?

It certainly does look like it illuminates the area around it, but I am more incline to think it’s a combination of boons/traits/aura, around your body that give that impression. But I’ll tell you this— you gotta love that hammer slam! "-)
