Does anyone else get annoyed with this? Your clearing out mobs one at a time because well if you took on anymore you’d prolly die (this is an issue on my Ele and Thief btw (not lv 80)), so you killing them off one by one, not facerolling them mind you, then whenever you get close to clearing them out BOOM all those previous mobs respawn then all aggro to you.

I cannot tell you have many times this has happened when I’m trying to solo an event or skill point. I know my friends and I both have this issue, I feel like Anet expects us to be clearing mobs at a warriors rate or something. NOTE: IM NOT TALKING LEVEL 80

So do you guys think the mob respawn timer is too short?

I believe they asked players that noticed this to submit where it was occuring so they can look at it. Not sure if they want us to use the in game report tool though? But I definitely agree that respawns on land and underwater are too fast at times and have caused my character several deaths.

I think its to short in some zones and places but not all of them. I think they need a team to go through the entire game and take a good long look at the respawn timers in each area and make them unique to that area or situation so that its more balanced to provide a challenge but still win through.

I think that the respawn timers should scale also, along with number/level of players in that area. How big an area, is also a variable that would have to be taken into account. For instance, you cannot take into account the number of players in the entire zone, but you could take into account the number of players in that immediate vicinity.

Welcome to being in a persistent world. Instancing like in the original GW ensured mobs never came back to life. But since this is a world where you can have other people join at any given time and go where you have just been, the challenge has to be presented to them as well. Otherwise we just get trolls on here saying that it’s not a persistent world anymore and it’s all too easy, even if it is just for world exploration.

If you don’t want to face those enemies again, you have to option to WP out (waypoint) to a safer area that’s nearby, but I don’t care what Arenanet has to say about costs being minimal; at level 80 it’s never a cheap option if you’ve been unlucky enough to die near a WP and have to fork over 1s-39c for the privilege. I’d rather fight the mobs again for the extra XP, but if they’re tough you may well find yourself forking over just as much if not more cash to the armour repairer eventually. Crafty ANet, always getting cash from the unsuspecting players.

I agree they are two short. They say go in and tell us where is it happening at..Ok Err. It is happening all overTyria. But not all mobs only the annoying ones, the ones that seem to take longer to kill them, At every zone. Now I am not gonna break down each zone and each area. They(developers) should just go in their files and just change the numbers themselves, they(developers) are the ones that designed it. Here is the list of monsters I think respawn two fast:(I played every zone several times so this is my take)

Inquist
Centaurs
Sons of Svanir
Icebrood
Badits
Ghost
Specturalist
Drege
Nightmare Court
Ogres
Krait and Risen Krait big time
Fire Legions all flavors of them
Risen deffiantly re-spawn quickly
The Branded are a little high
Pirates are a little on the high side
Fire Elementals
Destoyers all flavors(These are up there with the risen, way to fast on a re-spawn time)

-So yeah they need to get toned down, the re-spawn is to fast.

Any others that I may had miss feel free to add, but I think I am pretty sure I got them all.
