Mobile "experience" app to be released?
This is what I am talking about:
Everyone is just whining about the game on here… GO OUTSIDE
Wow, thanks for that link. Very intriguing! Would love to hear some more information on this and what else they plan on doing with it.
GO OUTSIDE
I would go outside… if there were some kind of app for my phone so I could play parts of GW2 while Im out there
I like the idea of being able to use the marketplace remotely. Add on crafting and other inventory management too and it’d be nice. (Possibly require the char to have logged out in a town, or pay a small fee to warp char to town, equivalent to rough waypoint cost)

Yeah I’d be doing a lot more crafting if I could do it on my phone!
Would like to know as well seeing as the announcement for it made me bite the bullet on getting a tablet. They said it would be out around the time the game launched but we haven’t heard a thing about it since it was announced.
I’ll echo the sentiment
about actually getting information on the status or lack there-of with the
“Extended Experience, Mobile App.”
I was really excited about this idea when it was first announced, and disappointed at the lack of any further discussion about it from Anet.
Of course right now I’m guessing Anet had bit off more than they could chew timewise,
and this was one of those absolutely brilliant ideas
that tragically got left by the wayside due to time constraints,
and has since been more or less forgotten and abandoned by the developers.
However, to those of us who did hope to see this become a reality,
it would be nice to have some official word one way or the other on the issue.
I saw that they had a few web dev positions posted for this, which kind of makes me wonder how close it is to reality.
I love the idea of this mobile experience and it was for me a decision maker in choosing GW2. I’m sad my Windows Phone won’t be able to run this app.
