Mobility is the real culprit, not DPS.
the solution to this problem is so simple I’m surprised anyone has thought of slipping; all they need to do is to make trash mobs chase you everywhere, so you have to kill them or be overwhelmed, instead of just running past them
Then they would also need to ensure that we cannot outrun them. And I really hate that in-combat slow down mechanic. It is infuriating.

Just in case you are confused, the “tools” I am mentioning are any item used to reduce time that it takes to clear a dungeon. The RNG aspect of items dropped from bags does not negate the fact that you tend to make more money if you complete the same dungeon faster (or complete the dungeon more times in the same span of time) than someone who is not speedrunning.
Exactly how does speedclearing improve your rewards? Oh right, it doesn’t. If you want to make more: get a job, get another job, get a better job or play the trading post. Speedclearing is a joke.
Lol.
Speed clearing is easier than learning to play the trading post or getting a job. It is less effective but easier to do.
If you play 3 hours per day and manage to do all dungeons vs half the dungeons in that time then you are more effective.
I’m surprised this needed typing out.Easier than getting a job? You must be out of your mind, because I get paid a nice wage +benefits and 2/5 days a week I just look up videos on YouTube to pass the time. If getting a job was really that difficult, it wouldn’t be an expectation for every person over the age of 16 to have one.
Once you foot your way through the door, it’s even easier to pick up hours too – take over coworker’s shifts, be a model employee that your boss loves, etc. It’s not difficult. The next time your three hour dungeon tour nets you 250 gold, come talk to me.
Not everyone is of working age. Not everyone lives in a 1st world country. Not everyone has it like you do.
Objectively it is easier to learn to speed clear in GW2 than it is to get qualified, hired and work for a living. There might be some easier jobs – but I fear that for the vast majority my statement stays true.

Anyone who falls within your statement has:
- Bigger problems than Guild Wars 2, such as not having internet or being oppressed.
- A social/school agenda they should be focusing on so they can get a job.
- Disabilities which disqualify them from working and, most likely, being able to perform well in speedclears.
- A life that doesn’t revolve around this game.
Your sentiments hold no validity whatsoever.

Not necessarily. He’s talking about dropping the leash mechanic. No leash, mobs continue chasing. No one is going to want to fight an end boss with every mob in the dungeon on their tail.
Everyone’s situation is different. Lets please stay on the topic of game balance and not who has it easy/hard IRL.
Berserker gear is nothing more than a red herring distracting the GW2 community from the deeper issues of the game. What we need to hear are insightful thoughts and ideas on how to balance the game.

What does being oppressed even mean? Oppressed by what?
If your country is objectively bad that doesn’t mean that someone is oppressing you. It just sucks where you live.
Disabilities which disqualify them from working and, most likely, being able to perform well in speedclears.
This one is just lol – so anyone paralyzed from the waist down let’s say can’t speed clear now ? ^^
This has nothing to do with sentiments.
If you cannot acknowledge that it is easier and faster to learn how to speed clear in GW2 – which can be done from day 0 of starting the game to being a good speed clear player in less than 20 days with 8 hours per day of game time then getting qualified for a job and actually working – you are just out of touch. Sorry but that’s the reality of it.
The only jobs that you need no qualification for are mostly physical labor and I would argue GW2 is easier than any form of physical labor.
I get that you dislike me but sometimes I feel you disagree with me regardless of what’s actually being discussed just so you can feel better with yourself. Which I can understand – each of us needs that special thing to get us through the day – I’m glad I can be yours -heart emoticon-.

I don’t think making the entire dungeon follow you is something you want for this game. People don’t kill those mobs because there’s no point. Introduce decent drops and maybe people wouldn’t skip.
Weigh down the dungeons with too many things to kill and people will steer clear of them.
