I was fighting a Modrem Wolf and realizes that I’ve seen the icon before. It looks a lot like one of the “things” from John Carpenter’s “The Thing”.
Sorry that the screenshot from “The Thing” is at a weird angle, there wasn’t that many shots of it, so I did my best.

Glad I’m not the only one that saw this. Not sure if it’s an intended reference, but it sure looks like the Thing.

The Thrashers also look like a “thing”.

I too thought of The Thing.
Also I think I’m understanding why Ventari armor was made.
Those little buggers, in groups, could flank you and make life hell for those who can’t dodge.
