I’m ready to start grinding for my legendary again (already done with gift of mastery and 77 clovers) and wondering wich the best way to make gold is. Would prefer something beside dungeons.

Probably farming veteran karka in Southsun Cove.

rly never heard of it. How much gold per hour?

Do at least the quick dungeon paths each day for the easy gold and tokens.
The tokens can be used to buy weapons, which can be gambled in the Mystic Forge.

After that, Southsun isn’t a bad place to farm. Killing the veteran Karkas will pay out in Karka shells which sell for between 7-9 silver each. Plus they drop T5 and T6 materials as well and there are Ancient Wood and Orichalcum Ore nodes on the island. If you aren’t familiar with the Karka, you may want to get a friend to join you as they can be difficult to fight solo.

To get there, go through the Consortium portal (currently at the Vigil Keep in Gendarran Fields, formerly in Lion’s Arch).

Run dunge….errr…. uhm… hmmm…. There is a pretty good lemongrass run I’ve heard some folks do. In addition to the Ori/Orrian routes.

Fastest way to wealth is by pure luck.

Frostgorge Sound champ train, on BG or JQ, or a few other servers. You’ll not only average (average, not guaranteed every day) about 6-7g per hour, but you’ll get some of those needed T6 mats as well. You also have the chance for more than that, should you get a few good exotic drops (i.e. anything with a superior rune of the traveler will net you about 8-10g on its own). People have been known to get precursor drops there as well… yes, actual people that weren’t making it up.

If you do your dailies/monthlies you can use your laurels to also get T6 mats, or alternatively, use them to buy unidentified dies and sell them on the TP.

Best ways to make gold? you’ve got four options
1) champ farming
This is by far the most boring thing also very low profit yield BUT! doesn’t have a cap on profit and can be done by anyone.

2)dungeons:
Fastest way to make gold and if you speed run it (legit speed runs not pug ones) it will net you the fastest gold per time profit. I make 10 gold a day doing my rotations easily (I have over 100+ MF though so some money is from drops) and I pug everything(yes, it sucks don’t pug). But there is a money investment. Zerk gear depending on your class it can punch a hole in your wallet. If you refuse to run zerk/meta gear you can pug but it takes (a lot) more time.

3) Flipping:
This one is the most difficult to do and has a money investment (cant do much with under 10 gold). It’s slow at first but over time your profit will go up (the margin will be about the same). in addition you may need to have crafting up to a certain point in some flipping situations (like when iron ore to steel ingots was a thing).

If you want to just buy your legendary(yes you can do that) this is the way to go. Note there isn’t really guides for this so if you don’t want to learn/aren’t good enough/losing money go to option 2 or 4.

4) Selling dungeon paths:
arah p4 is usally sold at around 20 gold per slot so if you can solo it thats 80 gold plus the money you make from the dungeon. you do it with a full party but then you dont make as much since you spliting that 80 gold. Note soloing arah is NOT easy the bosses and the vets hit hard and path 3 and 4 are locked to certain classes (ie a ranger cannot do orbs in P3 and P4). Note other paths can be sold but at a much lower price arah path p1 and p2 will net you more gold than P3 (path three is a snooze fest for most groups).

Also remember to do dailies/monthlies! that’s some free T6 mats.

mat farming is super slow, you minus well be ruining the champ train and salvaging all the blues and greens you get.
