Can we please slow down to a new schedule where you give your teams twice as much time to push out updates, and only do one major patch per month?

Seriously, at first it was fun, having multiple updates a month. Now it feels like all the content is being rushed and we’re receiving buggy, half done updates that should have taken more time to develop.

Can we please change to a longer development schedule? You can always come up with more filler content if you still want to do bi-weekly releases. Just create 12 repeating conents, 1 for each month and push those out with minimal changes each year.

That way the first publish for each month will actually be amazing! (And as bug free as possible.)

Please.

Check out my post on the Living story section “fractured”, and sign there. Pretty much sums up everything about these 2 week releases.

They already have about 4 months worktime for these updates, due to them having several different teams working at the same time.

I don’t really think adding an extra month or two on top of that will make much difference tbh.

Each patch already takes 4 months to complete. You are asking for an 8-month turnaround. It might take a very long time to get any of our feedback into patches at that rate. There may be advantages and disadvantages with a schedule like that.

I’m also starting to think monthly would be better. I’d feel a lot more excited to receive massive updates (which a combination of two fortnightly updates would feel like) every month, and also feel less like I was just doing a “flavour of the week” type thing. It’d be really cool to have loads of stuff to do and not feel obliged to do any of it, rather than having some stuff to do and feeling obliged to do all of it.

To be honest what I really want is for SAB and the daily activities to be made permanent and non-rotating. There is so much awesome content that has been coded but because of the way it is distributed it feels like there is very little choice in what to do.

Basically, I’d like a buffet table, not a set menu. I particularly don’t want a set menu of snack courses with the waiters looking at their watches every time I get a plate.

That said, I do love the game, and I appreciate the content. I think we’ve been given plenty for our money but I’d just actually like to be able to, you know, play it

This is an excellent point.

Look at the patch notes for each update. Since the beginning of the game, you would get 0-2 replies (mini patches to fix said patch), starting early spring 2013/summer 2013 you would get 6-7 patches to fix bugs and such. Obviously there was a change to the QA process.

Please stop calling them updates, they are downdates.

Every 2 weeks the core game gets worse.

Or maybe, just maybe, when something gets bigger more things might break?
