Just did mine. You gotta kill 100 vets and I think this will take alot longer than the events. I like to get mine out of the way so I can do what I want in game and not get sidetracked trying to complete these things. I found a spot where you can get 3 per minute, thought some might be interested in getting it done quickly as well, so thought Id share.
Krennaks homestead in Wayfarer (where frozen maw starts). Most of you will know the vet wurm that spawns right near there. This thing is on a 1 minute respawn after death. Then you just head slightly West of there through the Svanir camp is and where the small chest is. There are two vets in here, both on a 1 minute respawn. I did this with a full crit damage thief and was able to get the two svanir vets down and return to the Wurm before it respawned and then back to the svanir veterans right before they respawned. There are a number of other vets in the area (Arctodus and Wurm), but these just waste time if your just looking to get your vets done I don’t think you will be able to find a much quicker way
Just to note, im not talking about the Vet wurm event chain. Its the actually Vet Wurm that spawns right near Krennaks homestead.
Funny. Good to know regardless, I guess some people want to farm vets instead of having them anyways by doing regular content. I mean … 40 events almost guaranteed comes with 100 vets.

WvWvW. Vets come like hot cakes and events come like hot cakes.
I find it depends. Its good when our zergs are rolling through keeps/supply camps. But sometimes we have to defend alot and thats when the unrewarding nature of WvW can really hit home.
That said, Ill probably kill another 300+ vets this month. I just like to get it out of the way :p
There are 5 Veteran Oakhearts in Caledon Forest just south of Twilight Arbor dungeon entrance. They spawn within a minute, so you can get 5 in a minute.
In Queensdale in the southeast, at the Righteous Hoofmoot (PoI) in Taminn Foothills, there is three Veteran Centaurs near that skill point. They respawn pretty fast as well.
And there is a bunch of Centaurs around that area to kill while you wait for the respawn as well.

This cave is loaded with veterans. Every mob in it is a veteran, with the exception of one champion. It is literally a cave full of more veterans than you can kill before they respawn with a party of five people.
There is no “waiting to respawn”
If you’re posting in terms of veterans you can count… you should stop in.
Also, get your exploration achievement while you’re there, and enjoy the puzzle (that does not even require jumping)
Since the above poster didn’t, I’ll give you some directions:
The POI south of falias thorp waypoint. There’s a secret door. You can look it up on the wiki or figure out how to open it yourself.
LOL you’ve just done your monthly quota of Veterans on the first day of a 31 day month. Please do not ever come to the forums and complain that ArenaNet forces you to grind or this game is a grind. Ever.
Queensdale is another good spot and theres a champ oakheart event that spawns in the forest with all the vet oakhearts too so you can knock out events and vets at the same time
why are you people trying to farm vets in open world pve when 3 dungeon runs will more than meet your quota or spending any amount of time in wvw will get you 2 parts of your monthly without even trying

I spent around 3 hours last night in Orr event farming, was going to do it anyways, was even better it helped for monthly. I expected it to take longer, but with the changes I was getting around 2-3 veterans per wave, or at least per event (pent/shelt, tar elemental, phlinx, jonas, etc. you get the point). Had 38% done with events when I reached 100 veterans. :/
That said, I don’t think it needs to be farmed so hard. If you play decent amount of time and variety 100 honestly shouldn’t be too hard. Most areas have a veteran or two in every little area so I don’t really think there is a natural lack of them around. Combined with events you get a bigger chance.
But to each their own. If you enjoyed spending your time killing the same 3 mobs for a couple hours then ok. O.o I couldn’t do it though. :P

Because the hylek cave farm was faster than three dungeon runs… or one urban fractal (or trying to get that fractal to spawn)
Literally took about 10 minutes. For the OP, that’s 10 vets per minute, with a party of five though.
Also, some people don’t like dungeons and are asking for an easier option. Some people don’t have a full party for instances and they can run the hylek cave with less people or alone.
