Guild Wars 2

This game has some nice emotes but it could use more. I mean after watching a vid on ESO’s emotes I was kinda impressed at the amount they had (They had 6 different sitting animations, geesh!). Even WoW has more animated emotes than GW.

However we all know that other pressing game mechanics should be looked at first. I’m just saying more emotes would be pretty fun to have. I do like the instruments we got, those are fun to see. What emote would you like to see in game?

I really want facepalm. It just fits with everything and is generally funny all around.

I do want to see more variations, but not sure what ones tbh.
Something random would be cool. They have a “possessed” emote in SWTOR.

I don’t remember that one. Then again I quit SWTOR two months after launch. The one thing I did like is they had two dances. One fun and one ‘sexy’. Come to think of it, that game too had good emotes. I did like their hologram one and it was different depending on which class you played.

Heh, emotes you can’t even do if you don’t pay them. Never seen a game that locked 99% of their emotes behind a paywall. Thought it was kinda funny/bad omen/sad/ironic when I started playing it and typed in /cry and wasn’t allowed to cry unless I subscribed. Nice way to make people regret spending money I guess to only be allowed to cry after spending it.

I just wish GW2 would add the ones from GW1 with /flex making priority.

I support this idea. Especially having different sits. Maybe even make some sit-able chairs?

i support this too. played another mmo half a year ago where you had like… idk…10times as many emotes as in gw2 ? 10times the amount isn’t necessary but some of them were really nice like /hug, and you character will hug into the air, looks like an actual hug if someone is standing in front of the character. or sitting on chairs and different sitting poses in general

It feels like they started on the emotes and then just gave up. They’re definitely lacking pretty heavily.

This thread makes me wish they had included ‘/facepalm’ or even ‘/trollface’ as emotes.
