More Armor Repair
Do you know that damaged armor (the orange shield symbol) is still fully functional?
You don’t need to repair it unless one or more pieces are broken (jagged red symbol), and that won’t happen until after every piece is damaged. So you can get killed 7 times before it actually has any effect.
If you’re regularly dying 8 times in a row between encountering an armor repair station then you need to reassess your build and how you’re using it, because that shouldn’t be happening.
As for contested waypoints that is exactly their purpose – it means events can’t be completed simply by people rushing in, dying, resurrecting at an adjacent waypoint and rushing in again. You actually need to be able to complete the fight, not just zerg it.

If that was actually the only time it happens it would not be as annoying. An example of this is the northwest quarter of Verdant Brink. If Mellagan’s Valor is contested is is about double the distance to get back versus any other area in the map.
Broken armor doesn’t even server a purpose anymore. It use to be a gold sink for repairing but since it is free to repair it is just a pointless system in general. Not even sure why it still exists other than to be annoying.

It gives repair canisters a reason to exist.

They should just bring back the old system. Armour repairs used to be a rite of initiation when facing dungeons and certain challenges for the first time. Now death has no meaning. It honestly makes partying more toxic, since all blame/grief is displaced from the system onto the playerbase. Die respawn die respawn die respawn….throw yourself at the enemy until you win. It makes the endgame content seem very stupid at times.

There is an anvil in guild hall central waypoint. Hop in, repair, get right back to where you were (unless your in organized meta).

Assuming you are in a guild, your guild has a hall and your guild has the upgrade.
Edge of the mist has much fewer conditions.

^This. Or do it the oldskool way and join home bdl, repair, relog and you will be right on your original location.

Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.

And Mellagan’s Valor is contested 99% of the time. They should just remove it.
