More Armors
I dont know, most people said that skins/armour/looks werent worth anything and they needed more stats on gear to make it worth while so I think they are working on that gear right now.
IMO adding more stat combinations rather than higher stats in general would make builds more interesting.
I do like Ascended gear though.
Personally I am looking for more styles than stats at this point in the game.
I guess, since they can’t reproduce the quality of armour design of GW1, they decided to throw stats on it instead?
I collected nearly 50 elite armor sets in GW1 and it was fun to do, even when some of it was grindy. In this game I never got that thrill of “wow that armor looks awesome”. I just found one or two sets that looked alright and that was it.

Same its been extremely bugging me since I’m getting multiple characters to 80. I mean what am I going to do throw CoF armor on them all?
im wondering what happened to several renders they showed before gw2 launched that seemed to have gotten lost. The kurzyish mesmer one they were using to compair gw1 to gw2 graphics and another mesmerish one used on an image with 3 others to show default coloring or something. That one is actually the very first image displayed on the gw2 wiki armor page. Perhaps they are saving stuff for an expansion.
Now this a list I made off the top of my head concerning this topic!
In this list I use the term skin as in NO stats attached just a cosmetic skin you slap on one time like the Krytan, Primeval, and Profane armors from the gem store!
Want stats? Run a dungeon, craft them or just keep playing and grab a random loot drop!
1.) Add unique Weapons and Armor skins to dungeons that are not available to purchase from vendors.
Give people another reason to run the dungeon and add life to dead dungeons!
2.) Add a bunch of cool skins that you can only purchase from the Gem Store that can not be obtained in game.
A better way to generate money then forcing people to buy gems to convert to gold due to a kitten Diminishing Returns system!
3.) Also throw some skins you can only obtain by exploring the world and completing maps! Like have the Tyrian Explorer Society gift you a special unique set of armor or town clothes for getting 100% Map Completion!
Give people another reason to explore other than getting free exotics and the Gift of Exploration!
4.) All those useless Karma vendors in the cities could sell unique karma armor and weapon skins not found in the world or other cities! Like 2 or 3 sets spread through out the individual cities. These skins would be race specific like cultural armor but with out the cost and not as BAMF.
Give people a reason to go back to their home cities other than going to the bank or story quests. The cities are beautiful yet so empty!!!! That is SO wrong!
5.) Also those vendors that sell white trash gear? Make them unique between the individual cities/races nothing flashy but a bit more unique to the area. Add a little bit of diversity to the cities other than cultural armor. Heck even have them sell town clothes!
Another reason to go to a city! Want some fine norn snow leopard pants? You got to go to Hoelbrak for them!
(4 and 5 go hand in hand to add a bit more diversity to the races)
6.) It’d be neat if when your crafting that we could choose different skins for our crafted gear via different mixtures of materials to allow for more diverse armors and weapons from crafters instead of the same stuff we’ve seen already!
Make crafting more than just a requirement for that legendary! Make it fun to discover new stuff!

Not sure what game you’ve been playing. This is also integrated. =_=’’ Practically every single one of these suggestions is already implemented.
I have to agree. I’m not so worried about the stats, you can craft those into almost anything. I really would like to see more skins though, and I’d also like to see cultural armor more widely available. Dunno about you guys but I find having to shell out 119 gold hard to stomach.

Yes more armor skins! Currently very few armors are interesting. Most of them look very similar.
I find 119 gold for a rare (= not optimal stats) Cultural armor ridiculously overpriced. You can get other rare armors for ca. 8g (e.g. Vigil) or ca. 20g (draconic).

Now let me clarify that my idea for number 6 was more of like when using the discovery tab in crafting you usually only use 3 out of the 4 allotted slot,s so how bout either adding new items/materials that you place in the empty slot that would actually change the look of your armor? They could add set recipes for new Gift items in the dreaded Mystic Forge that would be a fraction of what it takes to make Gifts for legendaries. You then use this gift in said empty slot and BAM you now have Clerics armor set with different skin that’s not Draconic/Emblazoned/Exalted! Add like 10-20 of these Gift items and BAM 10-20 new armor skins are available now instead of just seeing lame old Draconic/Emblazoned/Exalted!
Same could be done with weapons as well!
Armour crafting needs more love.
Most complete sets look ordinary, but I think I’ve done well by mixing and matching from all over the place.
The artistic direction in armours just isn’t up to par with what was in GW1.
Considering that this game is supposed to be about “looks” it’s amazing about the lack of choices for armors…. 10-15 sets for each armor type… In gw1 each class had 10-15 UNIQUE looks specific to that class…. Honestly they just need to add more selection of stat combos on the armor and give us more armor looks… I mean we have a decent selection of weapon skins why not armor……
Oh and make legendaries a bit more “legendary” with the animations… Some classes will get special effects on the attacks while others just get basic attack animations. I feel bad for the engies who get a legendary and are in kits 90% of the time so you don’t even get to show it off lol.

On the right hand side click the class to see the selection of armors… Honestly I think they should try to at least add a few class specific sets to the game…. I mean anyone notice that necros either look like bath robe warriors or frilly mesmers… The only 2 sets that you can get that look decent is the dry bones set and arrah the rest look like mesmer/ele armor. I would love to get elite necrotic again for my necro or the elite cultist.
