I really need more bags for the Inventory. I got like 150 slots but 70-90 slots r permanent in use. Am i the only one who have problems with it? (especially when there is a new event)
(i also need to mention that it is my main..and i do everything on my main and got many builds for it with right armor and weapon)

what are those 70-90 items you are constantly keeping in your bags?!

if its gear then try equipping the gear you use most often,holding 1 secondary set of gear for your 2nd most used gear..the rest should be in a bank that you can check, pick up gear and go to that 3rd barely used gear that you use only in some situations.

could also make a new char just to make some more room

I think the probelm is 70-90 is permanent in use.

I have maybe 40 permanent in use.

The easy solution is get a copper salvage kit and just keep salvaging your loot.

The hard solution is get a permanent bank license so you dont’ need to keep 70-90 item in your bag.

I personally dont’ have that much problem even with 5 bag playing my alt as long as I have a copper fed salvage kit on me.

snag a bank contract, and merchant contract, I never run out of room :P

I’d like an option to just turn all those reward chests into money, I get tired of opening endless chests…

I can’t fathom 150 slots not being more than enough for everything you’d possibly need. What are the 70-90 items you’re carrying around that you can’t do without?

Use your bank. Upgrade your guild bank. Don’t carry what you don’t need.

I don’t see how adding more bags would remedy a hoarding addiction.

well if people actually want to be able to use the tonics/toys/consumables that they have… they easily have 100 slots of their inventory permanenty filled up together with the other stuff that everyone carries all the time anyway:

multiple toys …. many endless tonics …. many many possible useful consumable …. extra armor set …. extra trinket set …. other weapons …. different food buffs/slaying tonics …. living story items like lockpicks / geodes / banditcrests / organs / organextractors ….

i mean it wouldnt hurt anyone if they add 1 or 2 more purchaseable inventory bag slots

because i cant stand that if i buy toys or get tonics…
they have to rot in my bank and be useless there because i cant keep them in my inventory and therfor cant use them when i want to use it or when the situation would be perfect for it…

ofc i dont absolutely NEED those tonics/toys and some of the fun consumables
but why cant i have them in my inventory?
the peopel who dont want to carry that stuff dont have to spend extra gems for extra bag slots
but players who enjoy these kind of things (toys/tonics/fun consimables) … why shouldnt they be able to?

and fyi i already use the infinite salvage tool
still annoying that i have to salvage so often because i have only 30 slots permanently free on my main
i dont have the problem on my other chars because they dont have these toys/tonics etc
but i dont see any reasy that speaks against being able to buy 1 or 2 more bag slots IF it is needed for the reasons i named

+10 here, would love to see additional bag spaces to purchase. Its easy to fill them up if you WvW/Silverwaste/Drytop.

Examples of space usage off the top of the head:
WvW: Siege/Foods-Utilities/Trays/Traps-Tricks/WvW Mats: 6-24
Extra Armor Sets/Jewelry: 6-18
Extra Weapons: 2-8
Crafting Mats over max banks(1500 units) space: 2-8
Boosters/Black Lion Items/Salvage Items-Devices/Toys: 12
Silverwaste/Drytop Items: 6-16

For those that don’t carry extra items, still seems like a small code change (outside of server overhead) that could potentially increase game revenue if gems are purchased for the bag expansion. Hence concur.

120 inventory slots here, and I always have 30 free spaces. I carry around multiple salvage kits, Bank/TP/Merchant express, repair canisters, Tonics and toys, 2 armorsets and every weapon my class can wield, Mawdrey and the Star, and some Living Story junk like Krait Obelisk transcriber, the Halloween detector, etc. Have you considered getting an alternate character where you can store things you don’t use as much? Or more bank space?

Even with a full brace of 20 slot bags and all bag slots made available, I still run out of room. It would be great to have a 9th one or at least a new guild bank to work towards jointly with other people.

Tonic wardrobe should definitely be implemented. Here’s hoping

I feel you man, I have 140 slots atm and have always atleast 100+ occupied, mostly but stuff I don’t really need but just want. The copper fed salvage golem helps me a lot though

I run 146, 148 or 150 slots on 14 of my 15 characters, In all I ruse mostly the same setup:
20 (base backpack) salvage o matic / mystic salvage kit (x2)(/ story items) fire elemental powder/pet whistles (4-6 slots (Some still carry the HoM thingy.)
18 (20) normal bag empty
18 (20) normal bag empty
18 normal bag empty
18 craftsman pack: salvage items… (and my excess mithril/ t5 wood/ t5 leather/ bloodstone dust/emperyal/ dragonite) mostly ~5 filled with incomplete stacks
18 oiled pack/invisible bag: excess food/ junk
18 Invisible bag : trinkets/food (6-12 trinkets 6-12 (dungeon food) food)
18 Invisible bag : armors/weapons ( 1-2 armors 6-12 weapons)

Characters used in wvw as well tend to have 3 invisible bags, losing 1 the oiled pack:
sieges: blues/ purples/ traps: 15 slots, 3 for additional food.

This setup leaved me 83 (WvW)-100(Pve/Dungeon) free slots… of 146-150.
I have 1 character with 3 alt armors, but it uses the same weapons in all setups.,
3 with 2 alt armors and most characters have 1 alt or none.
Then again, I have 15 characters playing 7 classes, (3w,2g,3r,1t,3n,2e,1m, no engineer) so I have the choice of spreading builds around and/or making dedicated wvw characters..

I have a 160 slot inventory and the only time I ever run out of space is when I run dungeons without merching between them and thats a lot of runs.

160 bags here and I’m also permanent out of space…
I carry 3 armor sets, 2 weapon sets, 2 trinket sets, a bag filled with usefull stuff (heroes banners, potions, food, etc)

I need my copper salvage o matic just to clear up space every day, and I don’t even farm hard-core :/

Maybe it’s because I’m a 1 main player, I’ve got everything with me I need and never switch stuff to alts because I just never play those.

Give me more bag slots and I’ll pay :P

As a WvW commander… My siege alone takes up a ton of slots. Base siege and the superior version of it. I then carry a separate set of gear for when I want to roam and do rather than be tanky as hell to command, along with a second set of weapons to go with it. Then I need to carry food/oil buffs. After taking along a few tonics, keeping (less than) a stack of t5 leather, mithril and elder wood (I bank or TP them when I get 250 in the stack) to keep my inventory tidy (my collections is always full of them).

In the end, I carry 60-70 items regularly. I could probably bank all my tonics, but I like having my tonics around…

Just wait. Someday they’ll release an ascended level inventory bag.

I just realized my main character use 80-100 slots permanently too.

So only got maybe 60 slots I can use.

I never find that a problem though, just carry a copper-fed-salvage kit with me.

I have less than 100 slots on my necro, and I still never run out of space (and that’s even with one bag permanently filled with my alternate armor set, alternate weapons, and alternate trinkets). I just tend to leave the things I don’t desperately need in the bank, and then I carry a few bank access things for when I might need those things in the bank.

I think having a wallet style storage for that stuff might actually make it usable. I always destroy any tonics and such I get because I don’t want it crapping up my bags, and every booster I’ve ever gotten is still sitting in my bank (which doesn’t help you sell more boosters, Anet), but if I didn’t have to carry them around in my bags on specific characters I might actually play around with and/or use them.

160 slots here, I don’t really have that type of problem… however, I am a little more fortunate than most in terms of legendaries so I don’t have 4 of every weapon I have to carry…

I think an Idea ANET should consider to remedy some of this should be:

:Toy Box
~Works like finishers, Everlasting unlocks it permanently for use, non-everlasting only give 1 charge.

~Works like finishers, each siege added will give 1 charge, you will activate siege from this panel as well.

Besides that, the rest is just inventory management…
If you’re constantly running our of bag space you may want to consider creating a personal guild to move some of your materials too. As well, as any precious items
that you have no desire to use any time soon.

I have 160 slots on my main (elementalist) and I got :
- Black Lion Salvage Kit
- Mystic Salvage Kit
- Food buffs (x3 at least)
- Consumables (Boosters, Revive Orbs, Repair Canisters, Merchants, etc.)
- 2nd set of trinkets (Celestial, Berserker)
- 2nd to 5th set of armors (Celestial, Berserker, Valkyrie, Cleric, Soldier) though I don’t really use Cleric anymore, but that still makes 4 armor sets
- Other weapons (I have 2 daggers, 1 scepter, 1 focus and 1 staff) permanently depending on what I use
- Add to that the 4-5x Basic Salvage Kits, Geodes, Bandit Crests, various other currencies, Mordrem parts, etc.

All this account for about 70 slots currently on 160. That’s a lot.

They should simply make us able to unlock and swap stats on the fly. It would remove my need for 4 full armor sets in my bag. Then we won’t need more bag space (it’s a cheap solution to a very big problem).

Not a problem for me, but I would consider myself pretty efficient with the bags and have enough for fun stuff like bells and balloons. Are you guys really innudated with stuff you need to use? I do however wish they’d let you purchase an “account bound” bag slot that would only store equipment. That’d be pretty cool. Despite ascended being account bound, moving things between characters is a pain, and yes I have crafted duplicate ascended weapons because I can’t be bothered.

i think im currently floating at 90/145 or something like that. copper salvage o matic is amazingly helpful, since i wont get rid of anything. I have become quite proficient at inventory management since i tend to just salvage everything.

I don’t usually have issues. Maybe it’s different when you’re in PvE?

I have to agree. Sounds like far too much hoarding is going on here.
