I do not know if there is an actual connection but…I noticed something.

As some of us with the mysterious “bad drop syndrome” have seen, when the servers are reset, our drops get better, if only for a short time.

As most of us have observed, the longer between resets, the more bugged events there are. (I believe this may have to do with “server hiccups”—and lost packets, but that is also conjecture)

I have now noticed that the “cleaner” the zone, that is, if the zone has zero or very few bugged events, then my drops are noticeably better in that zone.

We also observed (those of us who are observant, don’t ya love how I tip toe around here, trying not to be extremist or uh…whatever that other infraction is I get all the time for my hyperbole and histrionics) that some event in zones are broken in “mini areas” that is, if one is broken in a “neighborhood” so to speak, then they all will be broken. This happened notoriously with the Swamp Event. If one event around the swamp broke, they all broke.

So I ask those other observers to make note: Do your drops get better in the least broken zone?

Are there even any broken events in Malchor’s Leap? I don’t recall any. My sojourn there after reset was terrible drop-wise. 2 Heavy bags, 2 whites, 1 blue, a few bones, a few copper.

I have now confirmed this in two bugged zones on Blackgate server. If the zone has more than 2 events bugged per zone, my drop rate is less than 30 percent per kills, and what drops is junk.

I can save you a lot of time on this one. Drops, not drop rate so much, are bad because of the way they have tuned the loot system. Correspondences are always interesting and may give insight into particular aspects of the problem but they are not the problem. The problem with drops is simply the loot system as it’s currently implemented. No mystery here and really no need for player investigation.
