Is it possible to input more customizable options such as

  • Window mode border-less.
  • Vertical camera position adjustment . (So character’s head does not block the magnificent environment and target monster too much. There’s only horizontal position option so far. )
  • Option for reducing more skill effects that break fps too much. (other player’s skill effect on a targeted boss in a massive scale looks very ridiculous when they are hoarded and very confusing)
  • Selective rendering distance 300-5000(e.g) (make limited rendered area foggy from distance. Significant fps boost for low end pcs)
  • Getting click to move mouse option back

I don’t have problem with fps (Thanks Anet for great optimization!) but i thought it would be nice to have them in option for more user friendly.

Hope to receive from you guys!
Thanks!

We definitely need render distance limiting, you can see way too far in this game, and it makes me lag in jump puzzles with high altitude and whatnot.

Skill effect reduction isn’t needed, they just need to obey culling settings. Currently, projectiles and skill effects do not honor whether the player is actually visible to you or not – they are just always shown – which is a major source of lag.

Would also like for AoE skills to be autocastable on current target.

Isn’t the current “Fullscreen Window” option the same as “borderless window”? I mean, maybe if you want to make it smaller than your full screen, but then I would want the borders myself…

EDIT: As far as the click-to-move suggestion, I don’t know if you’re aware of this (I’m sure most people aren’t), but holding right-click & left-click at the same time will make your character run forward in the direction the camera is facing. Not exactly a click-to option, but still a way to move using only the mouse.

Full Screen Window is still full screen.
Many games now a days come up with this option of border-less window mode.
It’s an addition to option, not a replacement. So if you would want borders around the windowed mode, you can. Many people like window border-less ,it looks more clean and minimalistic. It gives an illusion of playing full-screen mode while able to boost fps since it’s reduced resolution, at the same time, multi tasking.

I have problem of tendonitis, and it would be great if the movement of the camera with the mouse not dependent on clicking the button. Maybe something like the touch the screen edges move the camera, or better yet, when in camera mode in first person, act as a first person shot game.

The option we have in GW2 is actually named “Windowed Fullscreen” and it’s basically what people use when they have a multi-monitor setup to easily access the 2nd monitor with the mouse without having to alt-tab out of the game.

The idea that “Windowed Fullscreen” or “Borderless Windowed” runs the game at a higher FPS is false. On the contrary, it gives you a performance and FPS loss on most machines.

If you want to increase your FPS I suggest you run at “Full Screen -” and then choose an resolution that is lower than your monitor’s resolution, or simply turn your graphics settings to “Best Performance” if you haven’t already.
