As the topic implies guys. I think part of the lack of diversity right now is due to everything being centered arround only ONE elite spec per class. I know Metas are usually centered arround a couple viable options per charater, but the way the actual “viability” of each class works is a railroad, even when you want to create your own build.

To be honest, I was expecting much more from HoT, and some of those expectations were behind the Elites, because at least by releasing one Elite per expansion pack, it’s going to take a mighty while to reach the point where we can seriously pretend this is a sequel of the “most diverse MMO out there”.

If you talk about gw1 thats a CORPG, or Competitive/Cooperative Online Role Playing Game

9 professions are quite alot and it takes time to level up them all and you’re asking for more?

Sure, don’t get me wrong I’d like to see more aswell but I would rather see newer professions, maybe three new professions for each armorclass, heavy, medium and light, instead of Elite Specs this time?

I’m leaning more towards anet enhancing current trait lines. I.e. placing a trait line in the bottom slot makes them elite. After what Hot left us, they’ll think twice before making completely new specs.

For HoT they had to make a new class and then 9 elites for them all. I dont think we’ll get 2 or more elites per class this year, but theyll have more tome to design something more refined/unique

This is correct. We’ve already been told that elite specs will come with new expansions.

Has there been more spoiler stuff been told?

It would be a mistake to add more than 1 elite per profession per expansion. Chances are people will only play one of them and any others would be considered worthless.

It’s an immense effort for each extra elite, when they will in all likelihood be considered worthless.

There was something on reddit. No, nothing was official as far as I’m aware. Nothing beyond the confirmation months ago that they are working on the next expansion, anyway.
