Why for the Bazaar of the Four Winds are we, the players, getting the crack at yet another event-exclusive backpiece?

I have a bank tab dedicating roughly 1/2 it’s space to backpieces. There’s the Book of the Mad King, the Gift Bag from Wintersday, the Flower from Southsun, the Tentacles from Southsun, the Wings from Dragon Bash, another set of Wings from Dragon Bash, a guild backpack. The only one I’m missing is the Jetpack from F&F, which was drop based and I was never lucky enough to get (but no, I won’t pay over 150g to buy it off the TP).

Flame&Frost provided players with the event-exclusive Molten Gauntlets. Dragon Bash provided the event-exclusive Dragon Healm(s). Why are there not more of these to be seen during events, rather than another backpiece to choose from out of the dozens already there?

Bazaar of the Four Winds is about a floating air city, right? Why not do Icarus style shoes exclusive for the event? They’d have moving wings on each side that had a bit of animation to it (or not), and have a glitter, golden look about them. Fits the event perfectly, and it’s not another backpiece. However, it’s clearly too late to make this change, so consideration into other events might be best.

Am I alone in this? Am I the only one who is kind of tired of collecting tons of event-based backpieces?

Will the new backpiece be just a skin or an actual backpiece like the Southsun ones.

I hope that it’s at least a complete back like the sclerite back so i don’t have to make/find/buy another high level back to put the skin on

Back when the Halloween and Wintersday updates came out it was nice to have back items given away because there were relatively few in-game.

But putting so many of the event-exclusive items into one slot is frustrating because even those of us with several characters can only use so many of these, especially when they’re only skins and we have to go out and acquire another item to put the stats on it.

It would be nice if they could aim for a full set of equipment instead. We’ve got the helmet, back item and gauntlets, why not add some one-off chest or leg armor, or boots like someone else said?

I would like a Warhammer 40k style banner as a backpiece.

I thought the back banners that you can buy would be like that but alas…………

Piece as in singular? Ya,…forgot to mention, but it looks like there will be 3 of them. …and being most likely a Skin, not an item ..

Well, these items are basically there to benefit the new(er) players. If you are tired of these you don’t need to collect them. I joined more recently and was happy to get the hentai backpiece which is now being used by my alt.

I actually like the back pieces. It gives me a little bit of diversity, and with the lack of back piece skills that actually look cool by default, I think the cycling of back piece skins to choose from is awesome.

During Halloween there were no 3D back items in-game. Now we still have few real options, especially because back items can’t be dyed and some of them are pretty weird and don’t fit most characters.

So, I’d say sure, give us more back items. I wouldn’t mind other skins, either, but practically anything is ok as long as it looks good.

You are complaining that there are too many items you get for free in this game? Well no, I dont mind that at all.

We have received event-based skins for weapons, helms, and other bits of gear, too. I would not mind seeing more back skins; I would especially like angel and/or devil wings as a back piece. More skin options for other gear would be appreciated too, though.
