More racial bonuses
While I don’t particularly mind, so long as the bonuses are really small…I believe Anet specifically set the races up to be exactly the same so that there was no pressure put on someone as to what race they would want to play.
If you give one race a bonus to gathering, for instance, then people would feel pressured to play that character whenever they are out harvesting.
So all the teleporting farming bots will be sylvari, all the ranger bots will be norn and we’ll have to log over to our asuras to open bags…
Seriously though, I see where you are coming from, but I really think races should not have any numerical advantages over one another, however small they might be. They do have different skins and everything and thats ok as it is.
Different races shouldn’t have any specific boons that make one race better than the other. Like the above poster said, players will be forced to roll certain races with specific professions.
Keep it the way it is. Just add more diverse cultural armor.

You’re all right, of course. What you’ve said made perfect sense, so I re-evaluated my whole concept, and hopefully it’s more in line with the spirit of GW and offer more aesthetic options, rather than ruining gameplay.
How about we leave it just as it is so people can pick a race based purely on what they want to look like?
More race specific armor for looks only? Sure. Fill up vendors with tier 4, 5, 6, 7 and 900 cultural armors. Anything else? Lets leave that to other games.
