It would be nice to have different combinations of stats on the cultural armor. One size doesn’t fit all. Yeah, I know you can transmute, but that can get expensive…

In all honesty, I’d also love to see 5 tiers to the cultural armor starting at level 30 and ending at 80, with proper and attainable costs for each appropriate level.

What do y’all think?

If the models for those armors already existed, I. Would say yes. But I think the cultural armors, order armors, crafted armors, and karma armors cover all of the armors currently used in game (or most of them, I know certain armors are not, especially living story armors).

They would have to come up with 2 more designs per weight, per race. That’s 30 new armors….

I think that might be more than they can do!

Edit: but believe me I would never say no to new armors, just saying that I’m not sure it is feasible.

I definitely think Cultural Armour needs a rethink.
It is insanely expensive and not even max stats which means that you’re spending all that money for something purely cosmetic.
So as it stands adding different stat types wouldn’t help at all because the gear would still have it’s base stats too low and the cost too high.
They definitely need to go back and re-examine cultural armour. I think the best option would be to make it purely skins, lower the costs a bit and add in more tiers.

I definitely think they should be skins, as they are strictly cosmetic.

I personally think Cultural armor is fine as is. I would like to see Class based armor instead. One new set, specific to each class. What about multiple tiers for each class? Not really, I would be happy with just one.

Have to agree either they should be Skins or they should be Exotic or even Ascended. Skins gets my vote since then they could be any quality stats I wanted.

Hey dude you are walking into a wall.

+1 from me re: They should be skins, not actual armor.

if it were that reason they’d cost less gold to get, more people buying them means more people would buy the other thing

And if they were actual armor, T3 should be Exotic for the price we’re paying for the set (120-130g).

And, just for flavor, Sylvari T3 armor should come with Superior Runes of the Grove and Asura T3 armor should come with Super Runes of Rata Sum etc.

These are all great ideas! They are all pretty expensive for what you get. Skins seem pretty logical, although I do think that getting a full set of stats on the armor would make it more worth the price.

If it’s just going to be skins, lower the price. If it’s going to be armor, raise the stats and add runes.

Going back to my original post though, I don’t care if the skins are different for each set. I just want better stats so I can justify to myself that it’s worth the price. Speaking of, the tier 3 prices are horrible. I think it should be attainable by either a purchase or after completing the level 80 story line. Just my thoughts…

Ahhh so that’s what you meant. I get it. Yeah. I have so many trans stones that I don’t know what to do with them, so during low levels, it doesn’t harm me all that much! but I get it.

T3 is so good for so many weights and races. I like that they’re a bit hard to get, but I guess after personal story it would have the same effect. How many people finish it, anyway? Hehe

I plan on finishing mine on all my toons. I come from DAoC where the PvE endgame reward is a set of epic armor, and it would be similar to that. I guess it’s a hold-over from that game I miss.
